For those who showed up to flame me for posting another thread about whether he counts as a veteran or not, don't worry. You'd be right to do so if that were the case, but although I may be new on this particular forum, I can in fact use the search function.

Anyway, I'm just asking for confirmation on what I already think is the case.

In the command squad entry, the wargear is listed as follows:
-Power Armour
-Chainsword
-Frag and Krak Grenades
-Blotgun or Bolt Pistol
-The Apothecary also has a Narthecium.

Now, I assume that the "also" there means that the Apothecary has all the listed wargear and a Narthecium. The only problem with this is that in GW's model, the Narthecium seems to pretty much take up a full hand, and while it looks like that hand could still use a pistol or hold a chainsword I haven't seen it done. Now as far as repping goes I'm perfectly content to a glue a holstered pistol on somewhere, I just haven't seen any official GW examples of that. Now I shouldn't be surprised to see GW giving me something that is legal but un-reppable. (Like discontinuing CCW scouts... gee thanks.) But I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't breaking any rules.

Thanks for putting up with my paranoia.

WYSIWYG only applies to extra wargear. for example, all CSM have bolter, BP, and CCWs, as well as frags and kraks.

I would go bat-s**t crazy trying to represent this.

So my CSM have a bolter or bolt pistol/CCW.

Unless...
They have a special weapon. Which is when they trade that bolter for a melta.

Since an apothecary has the gear listed in the veterans entry and no options to take extra gear, it's probably safe enough to just paint him like an apothecary and your opponent will know what he's equipped with. I wouldn't worry about showing every last item on him.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
