Is there anyone who plays in the Upstate of South Carolina, particularly around Clemson University?

I am in Greenville. Which is not far. There is an awesome store in Greenville called Borderlands. There are tons of good guys to game with there.

Thanks for the tip, I just called over there. They said that if I come on Thursday night or Saturday, that I am sure to find games.

Also, I am looking forward to getting into a tournament whenever they have one scheduled.

I am still searching for anyone who is closer. Surely there are some University students or others who want to play without having to drive an hour or more away?????????

There's a gaming scene in Clemson. Anderson Games, or Anderson COmics? I dunno. Tell ya what. May seem kinda odd, but call that same number again, ask Stan or Shane about a games store in Clemson that has tables. He should hook you up. Tell him grizgrin sent you. Check around some, I havent been there in years but there WAS a place htere in clemson. Nothing like Borderlands, but deosnt have the drive time either.

OHOHOH. Stan is running a tourney at Borderlands. Dang Ex why you no tell this guy? 06June? WHFB later in the month as well. When you call back, ask about it. Shane or Stan should be able to hook you up.

Then drag yourself on down to greenville and we'll throw dice. Bring your A game and dont mess around, because when I lose I like for it to be obvious.

As Grizgrin said, Ask Stan and you will be able to find a place to play. Tournaments at Borderlands are really fun. If you can, you should go to the 40k tournament on June 6th.

@ Grizgrin, I wish I could make it to the tournament, but unfortunately, A friend of mine is getting married so I am tied up that day.

I would love to play on the 6th. However, I have to work every other Saturday, and June 6th falls on the weekend that I am working.

Maybe the next one will fall on the weekend that I am off.

I'll be in town from about the 2nd on for a month or so. You end up in the area, give me a holla holla and I'll meet you up there. You can grab a game with me, or if you see someone with some weird berzerk crap you'd rather play against then go get 'er! Laid back place, albeit there are some "power gamers" in residence so don't be afriad to bring the pain. I'll bring overboard power gamer lists or fluff bunnies, myself; doesnt matter much to me. but check around for a store in clemson; i hate to think of ye having to make that kind of commute for a game.

I came up and played in the hard boyz first round. I had a good time.

I will hopefully be at Borderlands tomorrow. My Brother goes to Furman and has tried to get me up for a game the past three years now hopefully it will actually happen. What army do you play?

Hey I go to Clemson and live in Seneca (I'm from Greenville). Borderlands rocks and I have not been able to find anyone who plays around Clemson yet, but to be fair I haven't tried particularly hard either. Anyways if you wanna play some time let me know, I hardly have a tournament size anything army (because i started SM then realized how much I hate playing as them), but I have plenty of Models from the Ork, SM, and IG lists to proxy and play with. I'm working on a 1850 dark eldar army right now.

Well, when I was at Clemson, there was a pretty good club called the Clemson Gaming Guild that met in one of the conference rooms in the Hendrix Center one night a week (Sunday? Wednesday? don't remember...). I know it was still in existance as of about 03-04, but couldn't tell you beyond that. I do know that a bunch of the guys who used to go to it a lot (not all Clemson students) no longer play 40k, so it may well have died out.

I'm from Anderson, and while there is a gaming store in Anderson, the Warhammer scene there has pretty well dried completely up. A group of us hit up Borderlands about every Thursday, and tournaments whenever possible. The June 6th tournament was a good one... 22 people in attendance. Borderlands is going to be about your only real option in the area, as far as I know.

Though, that being said, you could always try resurrecting the Gaming Guild (or starting a similar idea) if you feel so inclined. I could probably wrangle up some contact information for someone who used to be involved in the running of it if you felt like you wanted to take that route. Though it may be easier just to drive to Greenville.

I am currently running something of a 40k club out of my kitchen. There are 2 players who live in Seneca (Eldar and Tau). 1 player who lives in Walhalla (Black Templars), and I live in Westminster (Angels Sanguine and Imperial Guard).

My work schedule swings. So, we have been playing every other Friday this year since Jan. or Feb. We did travel to Borderlands to play in the 'ardboyz tourney.

What is your schedule like?? Also, I would like to move this thing out of my kitchen, if you have any ideas.

We used to have a gaming store in Seneca. It was called the Pit (on Ram Cat Alley). It was there from '98 to '00. The store went out of business though. I spent a lot of time in there.

Wow, I'm sorry it took me so long to check back here. I live in seneca out by the lake about 15 to 20 mins from campus. I guess I'll just PM you with more details.
