I'm just curious to see what everyboby thinks of my latest paintjob. The only reason being is someone keeps giving me zeroes. I haven't been a member long enough to make anyone angry with me. So like I said honest opinion.

Hmm pic is small, i clicked on it and its still small.

From what i can see , is this WIP? so far its clean and neat.

High light the black , shade the gold, ink the tusk and its good to go!

Ill be honest, I cant see anything, the pic is too small. As to you getting zeros, did you anger anyone on the forum recently, perhaps with an innocent comment?

Sorry the pic is small I'm not on my computer. You can check it out in the gallery. As to making someone angry by posting something innocent the only thing I can think of is trying to help someone with their army list. Maybe that was it. Oooooohhh well. Also thanks to Lunahound. My question to you is, why does it matter? You're getting zeros. So what? This is the internet and the rating system is anonymous. What do you expect? People to be honest and nice?

People are douchebags and will prove it any chance they can. Point is, you want to know what people think about your paintjobs? NEVER make that decision based on a silly online rating system. Instead post a few pics here and ask what people think. Much like you just did in this thread.

but you will need much bigger pics, from what i can see it looks neat and the cam. work is good, just a shame i cant really see much of it.

Looks fine. Could use more shading, particularly on the tusks and I prefer my golds a little bit more subtle, but it seems like a good tabletop quality. A light colored based to frame an otherwise dark figure would go a long ways.

Still a bit blurry but here is what I see. The paint job looks pretty clean and the scheme is very nice. Your metallics really shine! Table-top+ quality for sure but (especially for Chaos) they seem too clean and lack details (Like blood). It seems like (from what I can tell) some of the detail bleeds together. I gave it a 6 for paint job and an 8 for coolness, because I really like the scheme and how your metallics pop. Hope this helps.

Note: This is my honest opinion and one thing about this site is that it has helped me to understand how much farther my own painting has to go to look really good. I hope you are not dissuaded but challenged by peoples comments. Good luck.

The paint job looks clean and neat. It appears you used good brush control on all the gold bandings on the termie. Have you thought of shading the gold with a brown wash or something similar?

As far as the paintjobs go, I don't think they look very bad at all. I hear much commenting on the gold. I personally like it. Your painting doesn't seem to be sloppy or uber-thickly applied. Seems like you were able to put the paint where it should go. I agree with whomever said (Luna?) toss a wash on the horns. Also, it is my opinion that you should almost never paint on a solid coat of any shade of silver, but that's just me.

looks pretty tidy, maybe a wash or 2 needed.

I like the paint job. I do agree that the tusks need some shading. The white really stands out against the rest of the model.
But even chaos can take pleasure in clean, battle ready armor.

I'd say 5 or 6 out of 10. Do shading, highlighting, inking, washing, some technique like that and it could easily go up to a 7 or 8.

It just looks unfinished to me. Base colors are there and look good though!

One little advice ! ( sorry even though i dont have the right to be giving any ! )

Just be true to yourself , this way you can always see clearly of your work compared to others ( tons and tons of Dakka gallery )
anyone that is willing to improve and learn = the best.

Hmmm, could be that someone hates looking at small pictures. Anyways, you need to post some bigger better pictures as the small photos are too small and Luna's photoshop work is blurry (though it was a nice attempt). Try using the Macro function on your camera and get up close. Then download the biggest file directly onto Dakka's gallery server. From what I can tell, it looks neat.

Any way... the pictures look a little blurry to me still.

Inking and Basing would make that model stellar.

There are a lot of douchebags in the world, and I seem to notice less
when I am looking at replies on their website. It could be the mods on
there I do not know.

If you feel your paint-jobs are lacking, reading books/ posts on
techniques, and listening to experienced painters beats a
douche-bags douche-bagainess any day.
