I'm going to assume you want a tier 1 competitive list, or at least as close to it as this type of list can get:

Drop the warbikers. They are pricey and susceptible to bad leadership checks. Looted Wagons are also subpar; trukks and battlewagons are superior. Run battlewagons, kannons, or protected lootas if you want long range anti-tank fire.

You seem to understand that a KFF Big Mek is vital for a list like this. One isn't enough though. You need two to ensure every vehicle in your list gets a cover save all of the time.

Run shoota boys and shoot out of your trukks and wagons. Never disembark if you don't have to.

If you're a Noob you shouldn't look for the hardest list, but what's the most fun to you.

Hey, hellboy, no need to presume anything. No need for bashing either. I am looking for a list that doesn't get whiped all the time. In fantasy I run a night goblin horde, to prove I am no powermonger. I do lose often, but that's ok.

Word is, 40k is a powergame, and some lists are terribly hard. I just want to stand a chance. I am collecting the army as we speek. I could use some advice.

One is vital, two is better, but not necessary. You are going to lose trukks, bolters can take them down. Remember you can always use actual cover to get the cover save, esp. If you are like me and still use the old trukks.

Agreed that looted wagons are bad choices for this sort of list, when you consider how much better a trukk is for the same points. Warbikers are a bad choice, Nob bikers, however, are a decent choice, but pricy, so buyer beware, and they suffer from LD issues.

I dont know why you would run around only shooting out of your trukk. It seems silly to me, but perhaps I am not considering things correctly. Maybe Ill post something in tactics to try and get some thoughts on it.

Burnas are also an unimpressive choice, although made marginally better by the wagons. 27 power weapon attacks on the charge sounds nice, but you strike last against anything that that would be really useful against, losing 15 points per casualty, with a 6+ save, not so nice. I think you may be trying to use them as a shooty unit. Ride their wagon into a unit, drop 9 flamer templates on them, and watch as the unit goes poof. If this is the case, it isnt a bad plan, but it works much better with a battle wagon.

Well, I wanted something special, so I went flamers. The only cheap way for getting them anywhere is a looted wagon. Plus, I was thinking of getting my hands on a lemman Russ and thinker with it.

The 'what's this button do' ... I was thinking I could still shoot flame when it happens... but I ma wrong on that acount, aren't I.

O, well. Since I'll be fielding those bikes for sure, I wont be winning anytime soon. 'Shrug'

I can't really find anything I don't like. But if you're using the Looted Wagon to transport the Burna Boyz, give it a Skorcha, just for the heck of it
