I saw two upcoming GI Joe toys that might make for useful Imperial shuttles or drop ships

I think someone forgot their propeller blades. Except for the would be Leviathan, they look too high tech for 40k.

I like them because the aircraft look properly boxy and angular with no curves. I can really see myself picking up 2-3 of the gunships to use as terrain/shuttles.

I suppose my only question is, how many can I get for $57?

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

The Terminator HK is a bit too organic and curved for me, more tau than Imperial.

But the Cobra stuff, flying boxes for the win!

I wouldn't use them as alternate Valks (since I love the model) but as shuttles on the landing pad... heck yeah.

That's not a Thunderhawk, and it definitely doesn't come with a Viper and 2 Cylon Raiders.

OMG is that Dennis Quaid on top of that tank?!

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

Why not just convert a Modern Military Helicoptor Tamiya Kit, it'll be a lot more detailed, and give you way more scope for "Konvershun"

Those toys look like....well, toys! And will probably be a hell of a lot of work for little gain.

On a side note, I tend to find that very little actually fits into the WH40K fluff, well, other than the things made by the G-Dub themselves.....which I guess stands to reason.

Man down, Man down....
