Hi,

For arcane items that describe their benefit as allowing the user to "know one additional spell" (such as silver wand for high elves, or plaque of tepok for lizardmen) does the user also gain an additional power dice at the start of each magic phase to cast the spell?

Meaning, a level 2 wizard with plaque of tepok or silver wand would generate 3 PD?

I had assumed this after reading the lizardmen codex, but after looking at high elves (who has another piece of wargear that specifically adds 1 PD to the profile of the wizard, for 15 points, instead of 10 points for the "knows an additional spell" item) I wasn't sure and wanted to ask.

Thanks!

It says you know an additional spell, not that you are one level higher. You only gain a spell, not a power die.

Order of the Ebon Chalice, 2,624pts
Officio Assassinorum, 570pts
Hive Fleet Viracocha, 3,673pts
562pts

Okay, that's clear enough

I'm not sure why I ever thought otherwise! Thanks

Almost same kind of question so I won't make a new thread about it. I'm pretty sure about the answer but just wanted to ask:
If a wizard has item that gives you one more spell and the item is later destroyed (like Vauls Unmaking or whatevercheeseitis) does he lose the spell?

Win/Draw/Lost statics
Space Orks: 11/1/1
Space Marines: 10/2/5
Lizardmen: 8/2/3
High Elves: 13/2/2 and one tournament victory!
Dark Eldar: 1/0/0

Yes, as the wizard cannot know more spells than their level without that item, it makes sense that it is lost if the item is destroyed.

You may have to randomise to see which spell is lost however...
