I was about to make a true scale army where the minis would be half inch taller and a bit wider and thicker......many say it will look odd next to other minis in a game............what do you say?

I know this seems to be a trend lately, but GW did make =I= for those who want to pursue this. I do love your icon though.

It does make for a "unique" army that everyone has LOS to each and every model

what if I were to slightly heighten them, say 2mm for tacticals and 6mm for terminators? Maybe 12mm for dread?

lol, if you want bigger models why not just run a 6 dreadnought army? Master of the Forge could be as big as you want. Now if you could take Dreads as a troop choice - ah yeah. All armored all the time. 12 Dread army. . . .

I voted OK as, well, I'm doing the same thing.

Generally speaking, it'll likely come down to the execution. If your army looks like crap, people will be less inclined to play it. On the other hand, a gorgeous army will warm those black gamer hearts of theirs.

LOS was mentioned... remember, it's a double edged sword. If I can see you, you can see me.

I plan on sticking with 25mm bases and would encourage you to do the same if you intend to play these regularly. The downside is there's much less room for decoration. The positive is that you won't have to deal with people crying foul about larger bases.

If you can pull it off, go for it.

Edit:

I'd pass on biggey sizing anything other than the Marines. Dreads and vehicles are good enough as is.
