Years ago I bought a stegadon that was, unfortunately, missing the shell. I never got around to ordering a new one and now finding one would probably be impossible. So last night I decided to sculpt one up. I thought that it would end up taking me hours but I managed to finish it in about 30 minutes or so. This is my first attempt at sculpting anything major. I've done some small stuff and plenty of gap filling. What do you guys think? I still need to add ropes. I realize that it's not perfect but you won't be able to see much of the detail with a howdah strapped to the back of it, anyway .

Here it is finished.

And here it is next to my old stegadon. Time to get my hands on some ancient stegadons now.

Dude. That looks fantastic. All painted and howdah'd, you can't even tell. Great work.

I got my hands on another stegadon. This time it was missing the standard, howdah and bow so I built one. A random bow, some green stuff, some bits from the saurus sprue and some skink shields all came together pretty well. The skink is supposed to be a warchief with a war-spear. He looks a bit mundane but I don't picture skink chiefs as being that flashy. At least the spear is obviously special. No WIP pics this time.

And here are all three lined up. The stegadon pack is slowly growing.
