+++UPDATE+++
Here are higher quality images. Read on to see the original post content.

Please note no green-stuffing has been done yet, but expect a big belly, a better crotch, pipes, hoses, nurgle rot, etc...

++++++++++original + explanation++++++++

Now that this is out of the way... I bought myself a set of ogre bulls... and realized, wow, these poses and models are....dull? So...I have begun the process of cutting their legs at the knees, and separating torso from upper torso with my saw. To dynamically pose them...BUT this was not enough!

I needed them to be big, and mean! Something that would make a normal ogryn cry in fear! Something that could be a product of my mad scientist (check my threads)...

So here it is, the first ogryn WIP. Its about one CM taller (w/o any more additions) than the normal ogre and dwarfs a guardsman, and I would like to guess maybe bigger than most ogryns? I'm not sure on that...

Hese taller, wider, posed different, and just all around bigger...and standing slightly more upright

Now, my question is... I plan to make the torso about another thickness or two of plasticard in height, and sculpt up the legs to make them slightly longer, filling in the belly-hole of the ogre model... then give it a nice big nurgle-bloated belly, covered in rags, pipes, sores, and mad science! Using your imagination, what is your opinions/suggestions?

Pretty much I want these guys to be the ogryns of the ogryns, or as I like to call them 'true scale ogryns' now

True scale Orgyns? Nice. I'm imagining something akin to the lumbering beasts you find in Bioshock. With extra influenza.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

Nice. I've done something similar with "true-scaling" Ogres. I don't think they need to be wider though that the problem their squat and dumpy looking in addition to being be most boringly posed models ever! They need to be taller and in proportion, so clip the legs above and below the knee. I added about 5 mm to their height that way. You'll want to cut and extend the arms at the biceps to or they'll look like this:

As far as dynamic goes you can get full tilt running poses:

Just be brave with the your cutting, I use a straight single edge razor blade as it give the cleanest cuts. I'd also recommend that you pin them with at least 20 gauge wire, I prefer copper as it easier pose. when you pin you arm in some of the more dynamic poses you'll want to chop of the attached shoulder blade first. Took get poses right you may want to hold the arm in the pose an drill through the are into the shoulder, back, etc. Test fit you copper pin slather it with super glue and tap it into place. the hole can be filled in later along with any gaps.

I hope you don't mind the advice, but Ogres are expensive models to be chopping up and I'd hate to see anyone waste money if I can help out.

oh don't worry, I've added more height =p running at 2x the height of a space marine, and 1/4th wider than the origional ogre model.

I'm going to have pipes and nurgle rot jutting out, and the autocannon likely mutated into it's arm...

these are obviously ogryn stand ins =D meant to look huge and deformed...but epic... you'll see, YOU'LL ALL SEE

But seriously, THANKS for those images, they helped with some proportion ideas im having.

EDIT: Yeah, but I have discounts and spare models from bit trades, I'd say in the end only 30% of the model may be the same, mostly the arms and man-titties... not much else will be left. Expensive models for expensive extensive conversions. Thanks for the input though

You'll get your wish soon, beginning base sculpting today to fill out the belly and fix gaps/model issues. The crotch is to low on the model if you noticed, so they're being extended slightly.

The good thing here is they are abhumans who have been further mutated by a mad scientist AND chaos...any mistakes on proportions can be passed off <_<
