i heard they where redoing this codex? any one got any real problems with it? i personally think its much better than the previous! except burners arent 2d6 armour penertration against vehicles anymore!

You would think that Burnas, being specifically stated to be used to cut up armor plates, woudl be better against vehicles, at least in CC.

well thats wot their used for and before they could do it, i cant see a viable reason why they took that out

Son of a git! I just bought the 4th edition codex a few weeks ago.

Funny thing is, the current Codex, as far as I can tell, is a Fourth Edition codex. It was just written to have compatable and comparable rules to 5th.

Is this rumor true? Is there any proof that this may be a possibility? I have not heard it until now.

I don't see them doing orks for a while yet.

They seem to be updating in approximately chronological order-

Dark Eldar
Daemonhunters
Necrons -rumored
Witchhunters- rumored
Tau- rumored..

Orks were right at the end of 4th i think, so they would be one of the last to be updated before 6th, i'm guessing...

In any case- at the speed GW cranks these things out you'll still get a couple of good years of play with the 4th ed one..

THe current ork codex is technically 4th edition coz its the 4th book out if you class codex ork by jervis johnson which had ghazkull and makari hiding behind him on the fronnt as the 2nd edition which most people do, but its refered to as 5th edition coz it was written to corresponde with those rules when they where released. Yeah accordingly a GW guy said that the ork codex is gunna get revamped very soon, I hope so and i hope they put boar boys, madboys, bad doks, cyboars, feral orks and snotlings back, make grot snipers and give burnas 2d6 ap for gorks sakes!

Gitz aren't terrible just dont buy the blasta upgrade and give em a painboy and cybork upgrade, I love watching terminators die when you roll a one for ap after you hit with 5 outa 20 shots make up for it charge em in if they dont do no dakka damage there still gunna get 4 attacks on a charge smash a few heads in with that!
