There's a lot of violence and politics in the off topic bit, so I thought I'd share a revelation to change the tone.
Anyone seen Point Break and The Fast and The Furious? (the 1st one)
Is it just me or do they have exactly the same plot?
Has anyone else noticed this?

I wouldn't call Point Break really old, I saw it in the cinema.

Ok, it's not old, but its still older than me.
I know basic plots are re-used, but they are exactly the same, just with cars instead of surfing.
Undercover cop joins group to find another group of the same type doing crime. Thinks its another group, makes an innefectual raid.
Realises its his own group, lets them go briefly, catches up with them at the end, only to let the criminal leader go for good.
Both films. (in case anyone hasn't seen them)

Yeah, pretty much the same. One is about surfing, the other is about cars. Both have bad acting in them. But other than that, not much difference.

Starred in movies such as "Der" and "Tum-Ta-Tittly Tum-Ta-Too", most recently starring in "Da Derp De Derp De Tittly Derp De Der De Dum". Now Rob Schneider is a Carrot.

Yes.... but the version he's on about is in colour and is one of those new fangled "talkies" grandad!

Films are much better with a proper organ accompaniment.

I remember watching the Fast and the Furious years ago at a mates place. My first words as the credits rolled where "That was a poor mans Point Break".
So I agree with the OP. Point Break is all kinds of awsome and Bodie is far cooler mentor character than Dominic.

I met a girl before She Who Must Be Obeyed at a movie with not just an organ but the entire Houston Symphony. Now thats home theater.
