Those are some good looking kommandos. I might have to steal some of the ideas to make my own.

Been thinking for a while how to make some plastic kommandos.
i guess this is the way forward
just need a way of making a plastic snik now.

that project can start after my plastic tank bustas though

new ork kits are great lol, can make pretty much any unit by kit bashing.

Thank you for this, very inspiring
In fact, aside from the official Kommando nob (which is just such an awesome model), I think I prefer these to the "real" GW ones. Although the GW ones are good too so it's hard to say.

Very good looking commandos and I do not see any reason why they comntinue to make the metal figures when the plastics are just as good and are more versatile.

The only probelm I see with them is that GW seems like they are trying to get the plastics price as high as the prices for metals as soon as they can.

Trying to get new players to get into the game the biggest problem is the prohibitive cost of fielding a competitive army even at the 1,500 point range. In the past year at least a half dozen people have played introdauction games at the local store using figures provided by others and loved the game but did not purchase anything once they saw how much the figures/models cost.

I think GW has reached a critical point wherethey are going too far and should roll back the clocks a bit on the prices, especially based on today's economy and thier target audience.

Sorry did not mean to rant otn the prices got way off track but I do love the conversion work you did and I will probably be stealing some of your ideas.

His head is from the plastic Storm Boyz. I actually bought the Storm Boyz box set just to see what was in it as the local GW store didn't seem to know (go figure). I pinched 5 of the heads and a bunch of accessory bitz, made the Storm Boyz and sold 'em on ebay...in the end the bitz cost me about £2.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

These are really good, I especially like the first ork with the StikkBomb in his mouth.
One thing though, the ork with his respirator mask up, I would recommend that you remove the back of the mask, as it looks like two heads stuck together. (although that is just my opinion)
