Im curious if anyone has seen a similar list on the table so far and how effective either it was or you think it might be. I dont necessarily expect to get reports that its a great idea, I just think its an interesting concept. For thos who have read my last army list Im sure that key parts of this will look very familiar.

HQ

Commisar Lord - Power Weapon, Carapace, Plasma Pistol

TROOPS

3 x Vets - 3 x Plasma guns, 3 x Heavy Bolters

3 x Vets - 3 x Flamer

FAST ATTACK

6 x Vendetta, Heavy Bolter

The general idea being that the Plasma Gun/Heavy Bolter squads will be dropped off at objectives and hold fast laying down fire where able. Flamer Squads are used to move and support the objective holders with the flamers. Vendettas would provide a load of AT and a small bit of anti personnel with the sponson Heavy Bolters. The Commisar Lord is there just to boost some CC abilities and Moral but really he is there to dispose of some of the surplus points I had that couldnt go into a normal Command Squad due to lack of additional space in the Vendettas to transport them.

Like the 2nd one a lil better. seems like it can handle it self pretty well. Only thing not alot of Anti Tank in the list

I'm going to go with the second list as well, it just has a little more fire power

1750 pts on the nose.

Honestly I dont mind running both lists depending ont he opponent. I dont think it too cheese given that an air Cav unit will likely have all the equipment from both lists and would certainly attempt to run the right gear against the right opponent. Basically all that is changing is the fast attack options and even then only in a very reasonable way.

I dropped the Heavy Bolters from the Plasma Gun squads and used the points to add and Astropath. Ill keep all units in reserve (?) and use the Astropath to bring them on the field faster. Also I intend to use both lists (The all Vedetta list originally posted) and the most recent one. One obviously for Anti-MEQ and one for Anti-Horde. I dont think that is too much cheese since the lists are extraordinarily similar in platforms and troops.

Ok so here we go. We shall see if the list passes the litmus test.

w/ 2x Vets + Grenadier + 2x Plasma
w/ Command Squad + Astropath

Thats the best I can do with the point to make this well rounded. (atleast that I can see)
