Ok, so the plastic dreadnaught comes with the left arm options of CCW with either flamer or storm bolter, or missile launcher. The right arm either an assault cannon or TL LAS? I think thats what you get on the sprue's anyways.

So what do I do if I want to use TL Flamers, TL heavy bolters, TL auto cannon?

I really like the idea of setting one up as a long range dread with TL LAS and TL Auto Cannons but looking like its tough to do.

Twin Linked Flamers - I cut up two flamers and modelled them onto the power fist.
TL Heavy Bolters - Using the land raider crusader sprue you do some conversion work with the bolters it comes with and make your own
TL Autocannon - Plasticard (polystyrene sheets) tubes are your friend, you can get them cheap say 4$ for 10 18" tubes and make your own with a bit of tinkering

This is where the modelling aspect of the hobby comes into play, it's best you have fun with it

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

That's GW's way to support Forgeworld.

The Chaos Dread comes with, iirc, a twin-HB, twin-AC, and Plasma Cannon, but they are metal and chaosy.

In the dark future, there are skulls for everyone. But only the bad guys get spikes. And rivets for all, apparently welding was lost in the Dark Age of Technology. -from C.Borer

Sorry for the ignorance (Im still a newb to 40k, LOL!) but what's forgeworld?

And I guss more than anything I would be looking for a way to get the TL Autocannon for it. If the Chaos one has one that is great, but if its metal and all evil lookin' then maybe not the way to go. Are there any Astartes models that would come with one?

Thanks!

I've made a TL Autocannon from the TL Lascannon arm by removing all of the 'energy' based bits from the arm and replacing the barrels with IG Autocannons. I also added the ammo barrels to the side of the armor and filled some gaps here and there with filler and plasticard.

Here's what the end result looks like:

Whoaa, that looks huge...great conversion work there, though the barrels are a little overlong. Nice paintjob too.

Gideon999, Forge World is Games Workshops sister company aimed at the more advanced modeller or serious collector. They supply resin models to support and enhance the hobby and exisiting kits. I won't link to their site but if you Google Forge World it will get you there no problem. Take a look under the Online store, Imperial Armour, Space Marines, Dreadnoughts links...all your additional weaponry is there. They are not cheap though, so be prepared for a shock.

I use the FW Inferno cannon as a twin linked Flamer.

Forgeworld is GW's arm for stuff that is not totally mainstream, almost more "niche" in scope. Generally superheavies, titans and oddball weapon loadouts. Very impressive stuff, at Very Impressive Pricing. IF you think that GW is pricy, Forgeworld will make yer jaw drop.

Heh heh, we must've posted at almost the same time.

Actually, if you are only wanting the odd small bit from FW it's not too bad I suppose (and the Mortis pattern Autocannons do look sweet). I think they have other outlets around the world so it might be worth Googling around for them or checking our favourite on-line auction site.
