How to the wounds get allocated in the following situation

I have two different squads of crisis suits close enough together that a plasma cannon shot scatters and lands on both squads, between drones and suits (between the two squads) 5 wounds are tallied how are the wounds allocated between the two squads? can i allocate all 5 to one squad do i have to split them evenly between the squads how does this work?

I would imagine that you roll wounds for each squad seperately. You would roll x number of saves for each figure touched by template. For example, the template covers three figures from squad A and 2 from squad be. Squad A would have to make 3 saves and squad B would make 2 saves. You could not take all 5 wounds in one squad as both were effected by the blast. I hope that makes sense.

Like s2ua7 said, if an attack manages to hit two seperate squads, whether its a blast or a template or some strange rule, each unit is affected seperately. So if X models are hit from squad A, and Y models are hit from squad B, you would allocate those X wounds to squad A and the Y wounds to squad B without mixing.

You determine the hits for each squad seperately, i.e. if the template hits 2 drone and suits from one unit and only a single drone on the other you would then roll to wound twice for the first unit and once for the second.

You do not need, and cannot, allocate or spread wounds between the squads.

spot on
exactly right you should total up HITS on each squad before wounds are rolled then roll each separately

the template simply determines the number of hits to each unit. once that's done the wound rolls are seperate for each squad.
