i like both lists with one small exception. I have found that DP six wide can be difficult to move about sometimes. It could be the terrain or just my poor generaling. Other than that the list looks solid although you will receive negative comments about the spearman block. For a while I was running two of them for mages to hide in. units of seven swordmasters can get shoot to death but units of any size of SM will get shoot to death. One way that I look at it is that when they break you do not lose much.

Couple of suggestions:

Mages/Archmages -

I'd personally switch up the items a bit and have the Archmage with the Seerstaff as opposed to the Silver Wand. Maybe keep him on foot with the PG unit as well. Doing this, I would also recommend getting full command for the PG, or at the very least, a Champion. Way I see it, might as well have the Archmage choose to be able to throw out the bigger spells while the other mages can always choose to take the default spells. Again, however, this is merely my personal play style - you should play around with it to see what works best for you. 11(12)+D3 PD and 6DD, not too shabby. You could probably really wreck your opponent's Magic Phase if you spammed the crap out of Drain Magic.

Again, I would personally up those spears to a block of 21 with full command, but 17/18 isn't bad either. Still, I would try to work in command for them.

I could drop the DPs down to 5 apiece and have the points for more PG/spearelves and/or command. I'll probably juggle the numbers a bit between these until I find what I like

I've also heard that about the archmage/mage, I think that will be another thing I will experiment with. It seems like with 5 spells the AM has a good chance of getting the big spell, but he might miss it so I will definitely consider swapping them.

I'm hoping to try out my first game this week, so I will let you all know how it does!
