My question is simple, how much of an ork vehicle must be red for it to be rpj wysiwyg? I am thinking about doing a rpj battle wagon with red hotrod flames and a mostly blue chassis, would this be a problem in a tournament environment?

The examples of Speed Freaks and such in the codex indicates that a Red Paint Job is indeed mostly red. Not that I'd see any problem with a hotrodded wagon as long as it's obviously "go faster" markings on it.

The real answer is absolutely none. You can paint it blue if you want and use it as a "Counts as" RPJ. Especialy useful if you're playing Deathskulls. But really, as long as the Flames are red, and you point out to your opponent that its got a RPJ, there should be no problems (Just say the Go Faster Flamers are "counts as" RPJ).

Put a dot of red on the underside if you're really concerned about TFG at the tournament.

And you could always write in big letters RED PAINT ... just because the Mek that made it was colour blind doesn't mean it doesn't work

Well, do what you want. But there is really only one 'correct' way to present a RPJ.

You start at side of the vehicle by the front headlights.
You then paint a red stripe down the side of the vehicle, just below mid-height.
About 2/3 or 3/4 of the way down, you angle the stripe, so that it ends at the top back corner.

That is the only real way that red paint will actually help a vehicle go faster.

You forgot to say that they BW MUST be basecoated black, prior to the application of the red stripe

Strictly speaking, you could get away with a red "N0S" sticker. That adds like 10 horse power right there...

Hmmmf....Gwar!, you must not have "proper" knowledge of television history to make such a heretical reply!

Oh..and BTW, your Mek must also have a mohawk in order for the RPJ to properly work!

Edit: Spelling...alot of spelling

Awesome. +1 to you, sir.

Maybe turn the E around and make it RED PAINTS to make it orkier? I don't know.

As long as my opponent mentioned "oh yeah, this vehicle has a RPJ" I wouldn't care if it didn't have any red on it at all.

AND IT MUST HAVE A SPOILER ON TOP WHICH ALSO MUST BE PAINTED RED.
