I made the model, offered it up in the swap shop and he asked me to paint it for him. The original wraithlord is way too boring. This is the pose that I decided on that looks the best without looking like it will shatter if you breath on it funny. He's still taller and bulkier than an avatar so I don't think it's weedy at all.

If you use the same color talus, you should toss a couple of different washes in different places and some differing drybrushing.
I'm not a big fan of doing all talus bases at all. It's almost impossible to make them look good no matter what you do. Usually I just put some flock on top in spots to make it look mossy. This is what he wanted, though, so it's what I gave him.
