Maybe it needs some tweaking yet, but it screws up your post even when just trying to edit it.
I made a post in the P&M forum, a reply to the Avatar and Wraithlord thread and, after hitting submit, I realized I had accidentally deleted a comment that I thought woas important enough to go back and edit it. I did not want the OP to think I was bashing him, and that's sort of how the original post sounded because I somehow lost that small bit.

I went in and added the rest of the comment and, rather than just edit my post, it Appended it with a stupid quote of my post and the new sentence added.

As it is, people barely read posts other than the original. They aren' going to read my post, get offended, then see the quote of what they just read and see the clarification. Espicially since it's relatively minor and not made obviou by the Append feature. I certainly hope that this is not working as intended. If it is, you guys swung the nerf bat too far in the other direction.

I'm unable to replicate this. Has anyone else had trouble with editing? All seems fine to me. Are you sure you didnt hit the quote button or reply button instead of the edit button? Did you try editing your post with the quote in it after editing?

edit: double checking editing
edit: works fine for me

Hmm. Maybe I did something wrong. I'll try it now. I am going to misspell the word 'lose' below, and then edit it.

Lose.

Ok then. It seems I must have hit quote or multi-quote by mistake. the edit worked fine here, twice now.
