Lord(Gaze of Flame, Lightning Field, Phylactery, Res Orb) - 205pts
Warriors x 10 - 180pts
Warriors x 10 - 180pts
Warriors x 10 - 180pts
Warriors x 10 - 180pts
Warriors x 10 - 180pts
Warriors x 10 - 180pts
Flayed Ones x 10 - 180pts
Monolith - 235pts
Destroyers x 3 - 150pts
------------------------------
total = 1850pts
75 models
I would deep strike the Monolith and run the Lord with the Flayed ones. Gaze of Flame will take away opponents charging bonus attack and Lightning Field will help with retaliation attacks against opponents in CC. Use the Destroyers to provide cover fire, but keep them moving. The Warriors should be divided up into 10 man squads to help against sweeping advance and you can more easily hold the objectives when the mission calls for it.

Lord w/ Orb and Veil
2x10 warriors
1x monolith
3x heavy destroyers
5x destroyers
10x scarabs w/ DS
2x5 immortals or 1x10 immortals
You still have extra points so put those into the 2x10 warriors. Make them as even as possible.

Hopefully you won't be fighting any horde armies with that.

If anything drop the Monolith and take Immortals and Destroyers. I certainly wouldn't be taking less troops in 5th edition.

Hmmm. For those that do not know how to play vs horde armies.
12-13 warriors fire at 24 range until the horde is close and then veil and use the monolith to get out.
10 Immortals moving back 6 inches a turn and firing at 24 inches.
5 destroyers moving back and firing at 36 inches.
3 Heavy destroyers firing at vehicles if they have any.
So lets see. Just the Immortals and Destroyers get the following.
20 shots at Str 5 AP4 and 15 shots at Str 6 AP4. All of them killing a model they hit. On top of it the Monolith can do the around the work shots against every unit and keep a squad of warriors safe.
Know how to use an army and you can win vs anyone.
I use the same list above but change the immortals to 2x8 immortals. Oh and I have won numerous RTTs with this list. Granted the new rules make it hard for Necrons to win but as long as you move and fire vs hordes you can pull out a win. 38 shots on the move from 24-36 inches is great.
To get people off of objectives use scarabs to pull units off of markers and then use the Destroyers and HD's to jump on the objective on the last turn. It's a real nasty trick and most people do not see it coming. Just make sure only one of your scarabs can move 6 inches to touch one of the enemy. This way you pull them to you. Then when you pull loses take the ones close to the objective to pull the unit even further from that marker. It usually means you get to steal that objective from them last turn for the win.
Play nasty.

Mauleed, that's a very mobile list (for Necrons). I like it. Pulling people off objectives like that is nasty...and fun .
Zathras, for the models you have that list is definitely one of your best options.
I always have three scoring units in games above 1250 points, and for at 1850 I run a Nightbringer...but if I reconstructed my list to fit with that you have I would have this.
Lord with Orb, Gaze of Flame, Warscythe, Chronometron
10 Flayed Ones
10 Warriors
10 Warriors
10 Warriors
4 Destroyers
4 Destroyers
5 Scarabs Disruption Fields
2 Heavy Destroyers
2 Heavy Destroyers
Monolith
You have a heavy core of 41 Necrons to footslog their way onto objectives supported by the Monolith. You have 8 Destroyers and 5 Scarabs on anti-ordnance detail, and you have 4 Heavy Destroyers for Land Raiders and transports.
5 Scarabs isn't much of a tar pit unit, but that little unit has been instrumental in some of the games I field it. For only being 80 points and having a 2+ cover save after the boost, most players I face don't bother with it, and I get at least one good assault on a LR, Vindicator, or devastator squad.
Good luck, Zathras.

Nice list but you aren't going to win 5th editions mission objectives with that one.

You don't win objective missions by having lots of troops, you win them by securing 1 objective (or, occasionally, 2) and then focusing on contesting the others. Furthermore, Necron Warriors are a complete liability--always have been. Massed bolters doesn't do much, especially with 5th edition cover saves.
Also, Flayed Ones are atrocious. Would you fear a Space Marine Assault Squad that didn't take jump packs, special weapons, or power fists? Me neither. That's basically what Flayed Ones are. Scarabs do everything they do, and they do it much, much better. Faster, more durable, better at tarpitting, bigger footprint, etc.

And you're not going to be able to hold 1 objective with 20 warriors set up in firing lines.

With any Necron list in 5th you hide your scoring unit until the last turn and then move and run to hold objectives. If you have cover you put them in that to help protect them.
Everyone knows that 5th Ed on objective missions is tricky. You just have to be smart about it. It's why I have won with them.

So, uh, don't set up 20 warriors in firing lines? Pro tip: Necron gunlines have always been terrible. Necrons have excellent mobility via the Monolith, Veil of Darkness, and turbo boosting. Use them.
