Subject: BT redeemers and machine spirit question!

i was just looking over the 5th adition SM dex and its showing something COMPLETELY different with power of the machine spirit. my question is that do BT still gain this rule using the NEW 5th edition SM dex or do i still have to use the BT dex when it comes to PotMS even though both 4th dex's ( bt and SM ) showed the same abilities?
- also are bt's able to use Redeemers with the Flame storm side turrets, instead of the hurricane bolters?
Thanks in advance, any advice and rule clarification is appreciated

Unless you have a FAQ saying that you get to use the new wording of a given rule, you are stuck with the wording presented in your codex.
- Do you see Land Raider Redeemers anywhere in the BT armylist?

Short Answer: Black Templars Cannot Use Redeemers and you use your own Machine Spirit Rules.
Long Answer: Black Templars Cannot Use Redeemers and you use your own Machine Spirit Rules unless you whine and whine about not being able to have all the Goodies of the New Codex and none of the Drawbacks Inherent in Playing a Variant list and your opponent lets you.
This has Been a Public Service Announcement!
But Srsly, BT Can't use them.

I can't even tell if Aubrie is talking about a Black Templars army or a vanilla marines army that happens to be painted up as Black Templars.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

So this means that drop pod rules in the black templar army is also ruled differently? like asking permission from your opponent to field them? (its what the codex says)

By RAW, yes, it means that drop pods work differently for BTs.
If you're not playing in tourneys and have a good local gaming group, you might be able to agree to some house rules for the LRR, PotMS, and Drop Pods. Mind you, allowing BTs access to all the new marine 'goodies' opens the door for some real abuse (assault squads with storm shields, for example). So, be reasonable. BT codex is plenty powerful without all the new SM goodies too.

This. Every codex except the Dark Angels (Unless your Playing the 'Wings) has a Viable List and Do not Need to take from the Marine Codex. In Time your fluffy variant armies will become as bland and Uninteresting as the Normal marines, but until then enjoy your codex's

nah! the ordinary vanilla marines are tough as it is.... that is why it is so much a challenge here in our gaming group because everyone is gearing anti-tin can..... most lists I play against are built against marines.. ouch.....tough call on our part (marine players) since it actually is much cheaper, financially to field vanilla marines...

They also still get two heavy weapons in a 5 man terminator squad. Having to ask for drop pods and target priority are small prices to pay IMO for all the other bonuses you get for them.
