After tinkering with the idea of another full list of meganobz i decided the cost was too much (after selling the 1st one)

Just wondering if it was possible to run a termie only list, but wasnt sure if the vanilla list gave this as an option (or if a character could do this)

Yes, you could run a Deathwing army with Belial, who allows you to take terminators as troops. Your friends will hate you.

The local group is used to 180 boyz running at them, this should give them a chance

something i was curious about was lysanders rules, i thought there may be something in them but wasnt sure.

I think Lysander's rule is Bolter Drill, isn't it? Does he make sternguard troops as well? I don't think his rules have anything regarding terminators. That full termie list can be very mean, but can also have very mean things happen to it due to low model count. From what I've read in the batreps and seen (one of the IG players at my FLGS has a Deathwing army he pulls out once every blue moon or so) you will either win by a lot or lose by more.

This is simply a fun list for a nice break, fed up of stupidly long games due to Orkvs VS Orks

Just thinking it would be fun to have a small army i can buy and paint up quickly ready to use, and not spend an hour in the movement phase lol


i dont think lysander makes sterns troops.

Storm bolters will also benefit from bolter drill.

In the last marine dex Lysander allowed you to roll one dice for all your terminators to arrive by deepstrike at once. So although that meant he was great in termie heavy armies (Lysanderwing) you still need to take 2 normal troop choices.

However in this dex he loses that abilty but regains his old sergent ability to re-roll bolter hits in a squad he's attached to.

I'd take a Lysander army with two times 10 Termies with cyclones, Scouts with sniper rifles, and Attack Bikes with multimeltas.

Lysander gives Bolter Drill. Can't remember which guy gives it, but he only makes Sternguard scoring units, not troops.

Pick up the dark angels codex and check out the color schemes pictured for the second founding dark angels.

They range from totally sinister (dark angels green and black half and half with terminators in same dark colors)

Super easy to paint (boltgun metal armor with red robes)

Only the first founding dark angels terminators have bone armor, the fluff for the rest of the successors has their armor the same color as the tactical marines.

Alternately, you can create your own color scheme and call them a 'lost' second founding. Space marine chapter records are often times... incomplete.

that was the plan since i hate the look of standard deathwing colours, makes it even worse that it takes soo many bloody coats to get the solid bone colour

I am having a Consecrators chapter. They're all black, which is amazing because I couldn't paint anything tabletop quality to save my life. I'm far better at conversions and making bitz work for me.

i think ill go for a custom chapter though, all of those are either bone (after 5,000 of tomb kings ill never paint bone again) or pretty much pure black, which is way too boring
