Can you break a formation so that any benefits the formation got is lost?
For example: Tetragon of Doom? Can we kill one of the Greater deamons and cancel the benefits of the Tetragon?
If you don't mind can you tell me where it covers this?
Thanks,
Usdi

No, I do not have the Apoc book in front of me.
But I believe I can make a safe assumption until someone does come on with the Apoc book.
A formation doesn't require you to have all of it's members. If one of the Crisis suits on a Tau Manta formation were to be killed, would you lose the points of the Crisis suit plus all those points you paid for the formation? No. That would be sillyness.

My question is specifically about the special benefits the formation grants.
The tetragon gives a 24inch square area of darkness that allows deamons to re roll invulnerable saves. If I kill one of the greater deamons that make the darkness does the darkness go away?

Yup, for that one particular formation, the "death" (hey, they are bags of Warp Stuff, they can't actually die) of a Single Daemon will result in the Square thing being negated.

I think I have found yet another good reason to not play Daemons...

Most formations have a command squad/vehicle anyway though, and killing it denies a number of formation benefits. The only difference here is there are 4 units acting as the command squad and killing any 1 of them ends it.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
