In the fozen hell hole that was michigan

hello all, I'm still kind of new at this so any advice you guys have would be gratly appereciated. this army is more on the fluffy side of things.

thats my 1500 point list. any advice?

Sorry to do this but your list is currently illegal, to have GK in with spacemarines you must have 1 HQ and 2Troops choices from the parent list (the space marines one as you can't have a gk army with SM but can do SM with GK confusing aint it!) after filling the basics you can add (from memory so might be out) 0-1 HQ, 1-2 Troop, 1 Elite and 1 Fast Attack from the demonhunters codex. Also note you cannot have any Heavy Support choices from the DH codex.

From a quick scan of your list you might be better off trying to do a pure DH list.

Besides the illegal part the list is pretty weak. You have only 1 item that can to handle Armour 14 vehicles. If your dread dies which they always do your done. 1 Monolith would pretty much end you.

Your choices of special weapons is not very good. Storm Troopers with GL's is pretty weak. They are best when using melta guns.

thanks for the advice I'm still kind of new at this. so what your saying is that is I can't do Demonhunter w/ space marines as allies but, what i CAN do is have a space marine army but with Demonhunter allies. OK, that souds reasonable, but what would you suggest for armor 14? and can i still take my space marine chapter master and Inq. lord?

Yes, as mentioned above, you can start with the parent list (marines)

you need the minimum 1 HQ (Chapter Master), and 2 Troops from the Marines dex.

Then from DH, you can take:

0-1 HQ (Inquisitor Lord)
0-1 Elites (Gk Termies, Assassin, Inquisitor, Death Cult Assassins)
0-2 Troops (Gks or Stormtroopers)
0-1 Fast Attack (Grey Knight Teleport attack)

It limits your choices from the DH codex, but it sounds like these were the units you were wanting anyway.

*edit again - to handle AV14, you're looking at lascannon in your tacticals, lascannon devs, multiple dreads, maybe a landraider, or meltas in your tacticals or stormtroopers.

Ok this my new list, i changed it from Inq and friends to space marines and grey knights added some more anti armor

Space marine chapter master
artificer armor
hellfire rounds
relic blade
space marine bike
total: 215

tactical squad
extra 5 models
rocket launcher and melta gun
teleport homer
razorback transport with twinlinked lascannon
total 255

scout squad, all with snipers
teleport homer
all have camo cloaks
total 105

assault squad
full squad
lightning claws
total 220

4 grey knights and a justicar
total 150

GK termies
245

space marine land raider
250

Ok that equals 1440 and i figure i could either add some upgrades to the justicar, brother captin or the tac sergant

is this better (and legal)
