I am pretty sure that he does not count as a veteran and there fore cannot take wargear from the list as he has been upgraded to Company Champion which is a seperate entry in the unit ie how the apothecary works.

Correct. He's not a veteran and despite some people who claim that the Ork FAQ sets a precedent that allows him to take veteran wargear, it does not.

Yeah apparently people consider it a upgrade i dunno what the stance at tournaments are but apothecary is a seperate entry as well.

You take a veteran upgrade it to a company champion. A lot people then give him wargear. The apothecary on the other hand Is not a veteran.

You can, he just doesn't keep it when you upgrade him

Alright. How do we know he doesn't keep it? I ran into somone earlier who argued that he does, so i want the proper rebuttal that i can show in the book.

Because the entry states how a Champion is equipped?

Doesn't matter what upgrades you bought him before making him a Champion. Upon becoming a Champion, he is equipped according to the entry.

There isn't one, it's perfectly okay.

I donit think he counts as a veteran anymore as he is now a seperate enty so I dont think you can purchase him anything.

So is he mindwashed to forget all his training? I don't think so.

Training != Wargear

Training is the Statline, his Equipment is different because he is not a vet, but the Champion

Once a vet always a vet. Just ask any vet.
