Four Eldar Tanks, Two Wave Serpents two Fire Prisms. All at varying levels of completeness.

Some just require a few details added onto them (feel free to suggest somethings) others are just started but basically I feel each one of them could use some outside imput into ideas.

very bright,looking good,i say some free hand,high lighting, and some battle damage,ive really never seen battle worn eldar stuff so that would be really cool to see it would make your stuff stand out from the other eldar paint jobs

Agreed, some battle damage would be sweet. Washing it might be a good idea, they are a little to bright imho.

Heh, I suppose people have different opinions about colour. I usually stick out amongst my LGS as alot of warhammer gamers like to wear alot of black yet I routinely turn up in bright yellows and reds .

Unfortunately I only own two washes Gryphonne sepia and Asurmen blue. I did try a Asurmen blue wash on one but I didnt like it so I stripped it and restarted (hence why one is so much further behind the others in development)

By freehand I assume you mean portraits etc of Eldar or scenes from Eldar mythology?

Not totally sure about the battle damage, ive always imagined Eldar tanks to have energy shields rather than armour, so any direct hit would probably take it out in one shot.

They're a little bright I think, but if that is your own unique style go with what you know. Kudos for trying something different.

I think some runes and symbols all over the tanks would be pretty neat. Perhaps almost like a Ying-Yang, put the yellow on top of the purple and the purple on top of the yellow. Some outlining will help soften it to the eye as well?

Do more work on the black lining. It will help to seperate your colors a little better and make the models look complete.

they do go with your shoes very well,so too make them look even better with your shoes do the deep line recesses in that sky blue ,and add a glow effect to it and bam style in shoes and tanks

I like the shaded purple to blue one best!

Started doing some detailing on the Gradiented tank, also tried to make my photographs alittle sharper.

Also turned of Flash as I realised it was making everything a little Brighter than it actually is.

Anyway heres the detailing on the fore of the tank, the back is yet to be done.

Nice! I like it! I also encourage you to do some blacklining or bluelining to bring out the definition to the paint job.

That blue/purple gradient one looks great. However I'd be tempted to limit the palette so they look more cohesive as a whole remember you want the army to seem a whole rather than a mish-mash of brightly coloured tanks. The pink is doing this well although the fact only a few of the vehicles have the yellow and some others have the blue and purple causes problems with this.

Im eventually going to put the swirls on every vehicle, im hoping that'll bring them more into line.

Each Wave Serpent has 10 Dire Avengers which will be colour coded to them.

For instance the ones in the split colour yellow/purple are Purple with yellow Plumes.

the ones in the other Wave Serpent will be pink with plumes not yet decided.

The two Wave Serpents use alot of Dark Purple because my last heavy support choice is a unit of Dark Reapers, using very dark, almost black purple for the majority of the army.

basically i decided that this army will be colour coded dependent on their troop slot with the Swirls on the tanks and a general similar palette of colours bringing semi unification to the army.

Don't know if it'll work but here's hoping, eh?

thanks for all the helpful suggestions, especially people calling for me to do some freehand as id never had the confidence to do any before, i think it turnt out a little better than I expected.

Pink...? I'd go light grey to white.

While your colour scheme is making me nauseous, those arcs you've moved onto are a very nice pattern for freehand. Please no more pink.

Otherwise starting to look good, make sure you fill in those cracks! I've just basecoated two falcons and three wave serpents myself, last night.

I also see you've elected not to attach the prow field generators on the serpents?

Ah God, like there weren't enough "gay" jokes about Eldar already...lol

I like the pink for some reason it works with those colors , evryone is always so afraid to use pink , I think it looks great so far . This paint scheme will really stand out and is refreshing .

I to think not enough people use pink, but i think the pink might be a too blocklike compared to the pasteley colours the rest of the tank has, so I might break it up a bit with some white highlights along the pink.

yes I elected not to attach the field generators, I cant stand the look of them :S

I think that whatever you did over the reddish-purple color (looks like you drybrushed some pigment?) looks kinda bad. Looks very scratchy and blotchy. Chalky, even. I see what you're going for, but I think maybe a more gradual build-up of drybrush? As an example, take that last pic, to the left of the pilot's head (roundish area between the pilot and intake grille). The yellow drybrush and the flat mauve-looking color underneath it look like the black paint on my Blazer where I had side-swiped a 3' tall yellow pole at the gas station one night after the bar let out.

Your yellow on the striping came out a very nice shade, but in the last pic (close up) you can really see the brush strokes and it looks like the layers are caked on. Have you tried thinning your paint? Never was it so important to do than with yellow.

Thanks, Ill put a thinned layer of yellow over the stripes to try and get a more solid colour.

problem is that there are two many layers on the stripes, as ive had trouble setting on a colour there.

Dont really know what to do about that other than stripping the entire model :S

Nooooooo... Don't do that. Just keep it for reference and make any alterations on future tanks. Down the road, as you get better with your scheme (which is off to a good start, I might add), you'll be able to go back and strip this one. Or not. I still have some fugly Falcons in my Apoc army from my first couple of ventures.

im thinking swirls on it like the rest of the tank, but im not sure if it'd make the entire model look well cramped.

I liked the pink better but the yellow looks good too but I just cant get the LA Lakers out of my head when ever iI look at it with the added yellow .

they look great, do the prism yellow with green cracks going through it
