How are you keeping yours closed for flight?

I figure smaller sized magnets will end up being what I use, but I'd like to see if anyone came up with creative solutions to this problem.

Just by closing it. My two Vendys and one Valks ramps keep shut without any additional support ( glue, magnets etc. ) and can be opened by simply using fingernails. Are you having problems with the fit?

I thought about magnets too, but it stays closed just fine assembled as-is.

Hmm. It's pretty good as is, fit wise. It isn't primed or painted yet. That should tighten it up. I hadn't thought about that, obviously.

I'm just starting my valkyrie construction, but I had planned on glueing the doors level, more than half-way down and putting a small gusset of plasticard near the hinge. Then I was going to take a heavy stubber and one of the crouching dudes from the tank accessory sprue and have him pointing it out of the rear.

It won't count for anything, game wise, but it reminds me of how we armed our MH-53's when I was in Okinawa. Besides the two forward door guns (either 5.56 mm miniguns or the bigger .308 M243) they would mount an M2 .50 caliber on the rear door on a pintle. I'm not going to put a brass chute on the gun, but it will look very similar to the image in the link.

Nice ideal. Maybe to help strengthen the door, look at the side of the valk crewcompartment. molded in are what looks like 2 hydralic jacks, just get some plastic rod and extend them to help hold the door level. Also, incase you want a standing gunner, cut that little top door and position it open to add a little head room. if you had a long enough drill bit,you can hinge it...

Antonius, I was considering doing something very similar, just in place of a LMG, I was thinking about having a pair of sharpshooters in harnesses hanging in
