Subject: How many heavy weapons teams can an IG Vet Squad have?

Question about the new IG book, page 98, the entry for Veteran options:
The first time I read this:
Replace two veterans with a heavy weapons team armed with one of the following:
-mortar --- points
autocannon --points
etc.
I assumed it would only be able to take 1 HW team just out of habit from old/other books, but rereading it, I don't see any reason I can't take up to 4 HW platforms, as all it says is that 2 guardsmen form the platoon (the squad has 10 guardsmen, 1 being a sgt, so only 8 are available to pair up, so to speak).
Just wanted to check and make sure other people were reading it the same way

You definitely can't do that. I am not sure how your reading it to get that result. But what it says is that you replace two vets with a (that is 1) heavy weapons team. You can't replace a single vet for a heavy weapons team.
I hope this helps.

You May replace 2 Guardsmen.
Where does it say you may Replace 4 or 6 or 10? Nowhere. you can take 1 HW team.

Actually I see now why your drawing that result. Because it says replace two guardsmen, and it doesn't say anything like "replace up to 2 guardsmen" or "you can replace two guardsmen only" etc.
Even so though, if they meant that they would of worded it as "any 2 guardsmen can be replaced for a heavy weapons team".

Yea, you're seeing what I'm saying now, I'm not saying you SHOULD be able to do it, or if thats the way it is or not, I'm just trying to figure out how people have been reading it/playing it so I have something to judge by. As to how I read it now, nothing prevents you from taking multiple weapons teams.
Typically when they want to limit something, such as in this entry, they say things like "Up to three other veterans may have" or "One veteran may take.." In this particular entry, it merely states that you can replace 2 veterans with a veteran weapons team, whats to stop you from doing that 4 times and having 1 sgt, 1 veteran, and 4 weapons teams?

Well imo there is no different between them saying "One veteran may take..." and saying "Two veterans may take..."
In both of these instances I interpret it to mean ONLY one or ONLY two.
If they had meant otherwise they would do what they do elsewhere when they want to allow you to take unlimited instances. They say "ANY two veterans can take..." And you can see them use this if you look at the heavy weapon teams and see how they word it for them being able to change their weapons.
It says "Any heavy weapon teams may..."

I would agree with there being no difference between "One veteran may take" and "two veterans may take"
However the rule for the heavy weapons says "Replace two veterans with a veteran heavy weapons team"
It's only stating that the you can replace two veterans with a heavy weapons team, not how many times you may do so, as it doesn't seem to limit this
Anyone else have some input on this?

You are told you "can replace two veterans".
You do so.
You now try to replace 2 more veterans. However you are told you can replace 2 veterans with a heavy weapons team, not 2+2 for 2 heavy weapons teams.
No matter how you angle it you are only given permission to do the replacement ONCE
