What the title says, there are games out there that are great or okay, but would be so much better when played in coop with someone else.

For example: Farcry 2. The way the game plays just screams for a buddy to help you out when you travel by boat or car across the savannah's, as at the very least it would save you the hassle of stopping the vehicle and switching to the bolted on weapon. Plus a coop player would be a great replacement for the rather useless buddy system that this game sports.

Definately CoD: 4. The Coop in CoD: World at War worked pretty well so there wouldn't be a reason not to, seeing as how it was a worse game than CoD 4 (although Infinity Ward isn't putting Coop in modern warfare 2 ). An extra player would have alot more value than the randomly generated hordes of useless marines that run forward at machine gun nests and forget how the trigger-thing on their gun works, before dying.

Every game, by default? That's one reason the game industry sucks so much.

Can you imagine how stupid God of War would be with co-op? You'd be hacking each other to pieces and fighting over the treasures and upgrades.

Any form of shooter where you're with a fireteam.

Some games like Gears of War have scattered the items across the game in such a way that the players will be more competitive to one another in regards of who gets what, seeing as there are no two of everything lying about.

A lot of the mecha games such as Armored Core would be better with a co-op function.

Many shooters would benefit, I like the way Army of Two did the co-op.

More games like Left 4 Dead can't be bad, either.

Yeh, Cheese your missing the point when your playing co-op your playing as a team, I don't know about you but when I play Gears or any other game co-op we always share upgrades and such fairly so we can continue to play together and not watch the person with all the upgrades slaughter aliens/zombies/mutants/daemons (delete as applicable).

So, I guess none of you have played a little gem called Castle Crashers then?

Resident Evil: Outbreak. It would have been much more fun with a friend rather than the AI controlled characters who run off randomly and do really stupid things like not picking up a conveniently placed weapon.
