The title pretty much says it all here - I ordered a whole bunch of stuff from Forgeworld when I felt good about where the pound was against the dollar, and got everything I ordered sans my two Executioner turrets. Fast-forward ahead 30 days, and still no sign of said Executioner turrets.

So what are my recourses when it comes to dealing with it? I assume I am not the first to have this problem, nor will I be the last, after reading some articles on how much Forgeworld seems to care about the customer...

No, not yet. I wasn't sure what the best way to go about dealing with them was - figured it'd be better to execute AFTER discussion, instead of the other way around.

I would phone them before you start moaning too much. I would imagine that the turret you want is more popular than ice cream on a hot day, so demand may be way more than they can produce at the moment.

The guys at FW are really good and will either refund you if you decide or give you an estimate of how far down the backorder que you are

Fair enough - I hadn't even thought of that Epic fail.

While they have a habit of missing parts of orders or parts arriving broken, forgeworld are generally very good at replacing missing or broken goods. If it has taken what you deem as "too long" I would email them with your problem...often times they'll send extras...like they'll send a whole tank instead of just a turret. I wouldn't bank on it, but they have pretty good customer service for a small company.

Took 23 days for my Executioner turret to arrive and I live in the UK!

Yeah, use some common sense...

New Guard codex just came out, with a whole truckload of new tanks in it. Don't be surprised if it takes awhile for the turrets to arrive

And before coming on here about it, it's a good idea to call them.

I just got my executioner turret about a week ago. I ordered it about 2.5 weeks before that. My 2 hydras were on back order for about 2 weeks, and the rest of the bits I ordered went right out.

Just call them - and they will give you an estimate on delivery and in some cases expedite things for you. I called about my hydras and I received them 4 days later here in the US.

The nice thing about Forge World is that they will send your stuff in multiple batches and not make you wait for it all to be physically in their hands.....

Okay, so while part of me lacked common sense here (admittedly), I'm still glad I posted this thread. Just about every other one on dakka that you find when you search for "back order" has nothing but bad things to say about forgeworld -hence my original opinion, which has since changed. It's typical on the internet for those who are dissatisfied to be the ones who write reviews while those who are happy don't usually bother for one reason or another. So to everyone who's had a good experience with forgeworld, thanks for posting.

30 days? Lucky you. I live in Ireland (ya know, right next to it) and it took them 32 days just to charge me, and another month for the bits to be sent. Two Months for 3 Dreadnought arms. I'm never ordering from them again you can be sure.

I can only guess how long things would take to get from them to me here in South Africa.This will not be helped by our terrible postal service,this is why I will never order from them.

I ordered with express mailing, and got things FAST..

even with backorder.. 1 week late xD...

thats with $$$$ packages though.

Just give good old Ead Brown a call (he's the guy who handles ALL customer related issues) and ask him where you items are. If he apologizes over a dozen times be sure to give him another ring the following day to remind him of your problems.
