land raider redeemer
Deployment: We rolled for deployment and mission and we ended up with Quarters and Annihilation. I the eldar player won the roll off and got to go first.
Eldar:
I deployed my Pathfinders in some ruins and my dark reapers in a sandbagged bunker. Putting my two Wave Serpents with farseers and Dire Avengers behind a central tower so that they were hidden from my opponents deployment.
my two Fire prisms I left deep into my own quarter.
heres a picture of my deployment one of the fire prisms is so far back that I didnt get it on the photo.
(I took this picture after my opponent had also deployed, those guys that seem to be deployed away from his army behind trees are actually inside his land raider)
Space Marines:
My opponent deployed with the majority of his forces behind the hill, with his devastator squad on top to shoot at me whilst getting a 4+ cover save.
His landraider deployed ready to sweep down the side and his Assault Marines were also ready to sweep down the flank.
and the mug of my opponent!
Turn One:
Eldar:
I choose not to move any of my units, preferring to let my opponent come to me.
with my shooting I focus my dark Reapers on the devastator squad and blow away the majority of the Cannon fodder bolters, I also fire my Fire prisms twink linked into the land raider and blow one of the flame throwers off.
Space Marines:
My opponent brings his assault marines and land raider forward, also bringing up his two tactical squads behind. Also bringing the Devastator squad of the hill next to the ruins hoping to get out of the sight of the Dark Reapers.
Turn Two:
Eldar:
no real movement on my turn, I reposition my Wave Serpents so that they are still out of
TLOS of my opponent. and reposition my Fire prism so it can see along the side of the ruins.
During my shooting phase my Fire prisms once again twinklink and fire a dispersed shot into my opponent and blow away eight of ten man tactical squad, and also blew away most of the remaining devastator squad, leaving just the
ML and Sergeant.
meanwhile my Dark Reapers shot through the wood at the assault marines, but cover saves meant that only two of the fiveman squad died.
my opponents dead pile at the end of my turn:
Space Marine:
my opponent continues moving his units forward toward my lines. and also moves his space marines into cover, hoping to stop the lethal bombardment of armour ignoring weaponry I have.
turn 3:
Eldar:
I charge my wave Serpents forward finally preparing to fight, unfortunately this turn would be the begining of a tactical blunder on my part.
deploying my two Dire Avenger Squads, one between the dark Avengers and the forest, and the other inbetween the forest and the central building. I make sure to leave line of sight between the Dark Reapers and the two remaining Devastators, planning to get an easy
KP.
in my shooting my Dark Reapers destroy the Devastator squad and my dire avengers between the Dark Reapers and forest blows away the remaining assault marines.
Unfortunately the other squad finds that what I thought was one unit of marines turned out to be two, and the squad because of that I was out of range of the majority of the Space Marines, apart from the two man squad. I blew away the two man squad anyway to make the best of a bad situation, but unfortunately I was about to take my first casualties of the game.
Space marine:
My Opponent drives his sterngaurd (+ Pedro Kantor) filled land raider up to my Dire Avengers and wisely chooses not to shoot its bolters but rather shoot their bolt pistols + Dorns Arrow.
But induces minimal casualties. He then charges into combat hoping to kill alot of my unit but not kill it all, so I wouldnt be able to shoot his sterngaurd unit.
Unfortunately his unit was to good in combat:
and Pedo Kantor has yet to hit
he kills the farseer and the exarch fails his leadership test, then gets ran down. unfortunately for my opponent he rolls a fantastic 2 on consolidation and doesnt manage to get into cover.
turn 4:
Eldar:
-Dun Dun Dun.
I run my now empty Wave Serpent away back behind the tower, so as not to throw away a 3rd kill point. Meanwhilst my still full Eldar Squad + remaining farseer get back into the Wave serpent and rev to safety, but not before my farseer casts guide on the Dark Reapers and Doom on the Sternguard.
During the shooting phase my Dark Reapers release a devastating salvo into the Sternguard, racking up 10 wounds on the squad. My opponent decides to go to ground but only manages to save two of his sternguard and Pedro kantor:
Meanwhile my fire Prisms link up and fire at the land Raider, successfully immobilising it.
Space Marines:
my opponent only has one unit capable of moving now, his still intact Tactical squad. which he does so, moving them towards the forest.
then the land raider opens fire with its twin linked assault cannon + multi melta and successfully blows away three of my Dark Reapers in revenge.
Turn Five: Game continues!
Eldar:
my empty Wave Serpents moves around the flank so as to get a shot of on a single remaining marine at the back of my opponents line:
Meanwhile my Dire Avengers move once again to the frontline and blade storm the tactical squad, but fail to waste the entire unit.
But the Krak Missile from my Wave Serpent that flanked around the side hits the single remaining marine clear in the head, scoring another kill point for me!
meanwhile my Dark Reapers and rangers shoot at the remaining sterngaurd killing them all, But old Pedro manages to survive.
Space Marine:
my opponent moves Pedro kantor and the remaining marines into combat with my Dire Avengers whilst the Land raider shoots at the Dark Reaper and the flanking Wave Serpent, but only manages to stop the Serpent from shooting.
In combat my Dire Avengers get roundly trounced, losing alot of the ordinary Dire Avengers, and they then fail their leadership test. they get away and run towards the board edge. The Space Marines chase, hoping to run them of the board and score an extra two
KPs. that would then mean we would draw the game!.
Turn 6 Game continues!
Eldar:
My Dire Avengers continue to run away but roll

phew!
I then tankshock the Marines and Pedro kantor away from the Dire Avengers with my Wave Serpent.
My Dark Reapers fail to kill Pedro Kantor and the Fire Prisms stun the Land Raider.
Space marines:
Dorn and the tactical marines attempt to destroy the wave Serpent but fail incredibly.
Turn 7: GAME STILL CONTINUES!
Eldar:
The Dire Avengers rally and the Wave Serpent flies 24 inches back behind my lines.
Meanwhile the Wave Serpents ram the Landraider, but only manage to stun it, the landraider fails to even penetrate the Wave Serpent with its strength 10 return it. Rolling a 1
The pathfinders finally destroy Pedro Kantor whilst the Reapers kill the Tactical Squad.
Space Marines:
my opponent is left with a stunned land raider and as such doesnt have anything to do.
his Dead Pile:
Game Over:
Eldar: six kill Points
- sternguard
- assault Marines
-Tactical Squad
-Tactical Squad
-Devastators
-Pedro kantor
Space Marines: Two kill Points
-Farseer
-Dire Avenger squad.
A great game was had, and this was my first win against my friend Buster, albiet it was his first time against my Eldar, not my Marines.
