The biggest problem would be that it would be really hard to expand that army. I think that would drag the price down a bit. It would help a lot if you could post some pics.

Whatever the buyer is willing to pay. If you intend on making money off of it, you'll need at least $400 + paint costs + time costs to break even.

It is hard to see paying $500 or more for less than 50 models. That's $10 per model. I know that some models are $10 or more each (ie a metal Marine Captain or a tank) but some of the plastic marines cost less when new (ie a box of plastic marines).
Of course, pictures can change a person's mind on all of this. There is nothing like a well-themed or well-painted army. People will usually pay more than the original cost if the result is better than what they themselves could do. If it is worse, they will probably pay less than the cost of materials.

I think we need a reason for the question to give a useful answer. If you have this army, show us pics and we will tell you what we would pay for it, assuming we had the cash and the will.
If you have this army unpainted and want to see if you can viably paint it for sale then we will need to see a sample miniature or at least gain some idea of ghat you want to do. You mentioned truescale marines though, and with truescale you can easily get a high asking price (I wont specifiy further than that) but your time per miniature spent will jack right up, because it is major conversion work for each and every soldier. In any casse the rule of thumb is that unless you are real hot at painting adding paint to a miniature reduces its value.
This is all talk though if you have already completed the project and need to sell it. If so take pictures and we will gladly work out a price threshold for you.
It sounds to me like you want to sell it and evaluate it seperately and fear we will offer you low quotes will dollar signs in our eyes. Dont worry about that, many here cannot afford a new army right now, or will only want minis they have painted themselves. Post your army up and ask your question then, just make sure you say you are not selling it now. It still doesnt mean you cant find a buyer here soon afterwards, but keep the sale thread SEPERATE, or say you are dumping it on eBay. There will be conflicts of interst otherwise because we will end up treading on someone elses toes in deal negotiations.

QFT.
For no pictures, I would not give you more than 20 bucks. You could be ripping us off, for all we know.

If they are built to the standards of the Pre-heresy Primarch on your pics page, unpainted, and had been cleaned up well after the conversions were done I could see putting 600-700 down for the army. But honestly I would really need to see pics of the whole army and for that price it wouldnt be a quick 2 minute deal, there would be a lot of pics sent to me. I did this somewhat recently, needed a elite wing for my Ultras, found a great modeler that was tired of his ultras, had 4 LR's of diff variations, 21 termies, 10 Assault and 20 Tac all done with FW shoulders/Brass, Extra armor on all the LR, one of which is a prometheus, amazing well built and extremely kitbashed and he was very reasonable in that he just wanted the actual material costs back which was around 800$. But the deal took almost 2 weeks to close as I wanted to see pics of everything and he understood that. It was by far the best experience ive had trading/buying so to me it reached the value easily but you would probably have to be willing to go to the same lengths in selling this army.
If you found the right person at the right time looking for exactly that style of army then perhaps a bit more but i think it would be a situation where you would have to be patient and wait for the right deal/person. Forgive the analogy but in a way it's like dating, sure you could go with the first person to make "do me" eyes at you and be sure that you would seal the deal or you could try and hold out for the person that really wants what you have to offer and risk not achieving anything at all. However, unlike dating, alcohol wont help your situation.
Good luck with it and i would love to see pics when you get a chance.

Without seeing them.... maybe $30....maybe
If they are like the big one in your gallery I doubt most people would be interested as they are too big to play with.
