These are the new Zulus from Wargames Factory. I'm considering using them as Guardsmen myself....Perfect for fighting my Mates Praetorians!

Yeah there good value $20 for a box set as well when that comes out, the postage isn't bad either. I will probably wait to pick some up when they turn up in my FLGS however.

They'll fit fine on 20mm square I'm not sure whether they'll come with any but they'll work fine on 25mm round bases? Incidentally if you want to compare the parts with GW stuff I've done a review and comparison thing for the Celt Chariots over in painting and modelling http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/240437.page#744393

These do look quite nice and modular, and hopefully, useful to a lot of people.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

They are and they are apparently making an effort to make all their sprues modular together, so you don't get the fun and games you do trying to combine GW's sprues together!

I must say, WGF is impressing me more and more these days. Their quality has only gone up from the original Imperial Romans (which got a pretty unflattering review from WI). Their stuff is also consistently better looking when it's painted, as the zombies demonstrate.

Yep the plastic (and my skill) produces really unflattering photographs but in real life the sculpting is far superior.

A "Tiny" Little Surprise to Start Your Weekend - ZULUS!
29-May-2009 The Zulus are here! We are VERY happy with how these have turned out - as Tony keep's saying, "You can see the TOENAILS!!!"

We're in the process of getting painting and photography done, but we're so excited about these guys that we are making the sprues available IMMEDIATELY in our online store.

Sprue 1 features Zulu Warriors - 5 bodies in active poses and stripped down for battle along with 18 arms for maximum customization.

Sprue 2 has all the "stuff" to go with them - loads of heads (married and unmarried and leaders), assegais, knobkerries, throwing spears, shields, muskets, arms with a Martini trying to avoid the recoil, and more!

If they had a sprue with the shields I'd be buying them up for my savage orcs... but sadly they do not. :(

Isn't "Sprue 2" affordable enough for you to buy just for the shields?

$2.00 for 5 shields plus extras doesn't seem too bad!

Yeah, $2 for *6* shields is WAAAAYYY better than the GW bitz market. And the extras- spears, knobkerries and headdresses- are usable too.

Go WGF!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I've tinkered with the idea of using the Romans as "Chaos Warriors" for WHFB and the British Zulu war line as IG for 40k.

At those prices, there's got to be a way to fit them in.

Fairly easily also the Celts and the Germans would make great Marauders! The Chariots are also good cheap conversion fodder....(£18 for 3 from my FLGS)

That's awesome. I know we're basically just helping to cut down on their costs, but as cheap as they're selling the minis I wouldn't mind. And we all have plenty of plastic laying around.
