This is the big one, using 2999 point army lists. We will be holding this over in our new event space, where we have room for 50 players. Come pit your army against some of the best players in the North East. Cost is 40.00 for the two days.
For those folks not familiar with the store:

Media,
PA. 19063

Contact Person: Mike Clark (Mikhaila on Dakka)
If your coming North or South on 95, you want to pick up 476N, a little below the Philly airport. Take 476N up to RT1, then go south on RT1 for about 5 miles. When you start hitting traffic lights, the mall will be on your right hand side. Pull into the parking lot and go in the main mall entrance that is closest to Sears. Shop is in the courtyard straight in from the entrnce. Hard to miss with Superman above the store and a Space Marine at the entrance.
A rules summary is posted below, minor changes may occur. Of particular note, please send a copy of your army list in early. The first two rounds match up harder armies against each other, and your comp score needs to be judged before hand. .
Extra Curricular events are planned for Friday and Saturday nights, more on that later. A discussion thread will be started in our Fantasy section.

Currently working on a group rate, getting a call tomorrow about it.
Started a topic on our forums for consolidated information. It's visible even if you aren't signed up for the forums. I'll be working on getting all the Tourney info on it.

Local Bars and Eateries: Ruby Tuesdays (in the mall), Riddle Ale House (about 100 feet away in the same parking lot.)
Rules:
Army list: Standard 2999 tournament legal warhammer army list. Any non-standard-book list (i.e. white dwarf list) will have to be submitted 1 week prior to the normal list deadline. Special Characters will NOT be allowed. All models MUST be painted and based. Bring 6 copies of your list to the tournament.
There will be 4 graded components to determine overall:
Painting: 20 Points. A panel of judges will review each army IN ITS ENTIRITY, ON ITS DISPLAY BASE following game 3. If you like, you may be present with your army when it is scored, and receive feedback as to how you could improve the look of your army and be judged more favorably in the future. If you did not paint your army, you will receive half of the judged point total, and be ineligible for Overall, Best Painted, Player's Choice, or Best Army. Player's Choice voting will happen after Game 3 during this judging period, and will not affect the overall winner result. Models which are not painted to an acceptable standard WILL BE REMOVED
AS CASUALTIES FOR THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT as deemed fit by the judges.
Composition: 20 Points. You will submit your list no later than Friday, June 12th to TheGTCouncil@Gmail.com. Lists not making this deadline will be HEAVILY penalized and likely forced to play other lists in an undeservedly harsh category. A panel of judges will grade your comp, which will be used to determine matchups in rounds 1 and 2, and used along with battle points to determine your matchups in round 3. The score will follow the general guideline below:
0-4 Mega Hard
5-8 Nasty Hard
9-12 Tournament Hard
13-16 Not so Hard
17-20 Soft
Note: Extreme builds which take advantage of every loophole will be rejected.
Sportsmanship: 25 points. All sportsmanship scoring will take place at opposite ends of the judge's table following the game. Results will be kept secret to prevent retaliatory lowballing and to promote honest deductions. There is a 5 point check system. Select which checks apply to your opponent:
Precision: My opponent didn't fudge guess ranges, lines of sight, or move sloppily
Efficiency: My opponent didn't "slowhammer" me.
Fairness: My opponent was quck to resolve rules w/out derailing the game. Rules debates were handled quickly and amicably.
Composure: My opponent displayed grace under fire, didn't lose his cool when the dice failed him.
Cameraderie: My opponent made the game fun for both of us, we both felt engaged, and had a good time playing.
At the end of the tournament, you will be asked for your two favorite opponents. This will affect the Best Sportsmanship award, but will not impact the overall standings.
Battle: None of the special rules in the scenarios will affect fundamental game mechanics such as movement or line-of-sight. But there will be game point (not
VP) bonuses you can earn for capturing objectives, killing characters, etc. These will vary from game to game. Each game will earn you game points as follows:
+/-400
vp's or less for 10/10
+/-401
vp's to 800 for 6/14
+/-801
vp's to 1600 for 5/15
+/-1601
vp's or more for 4/16
There will also be up to 4 objective bonus points per game which would be earned by the players, making for a maximum possible score of 20.
