With just him and 6 carapace veterans (unfortunately, the chimera blew up just after getting out, killing 3 vets), a carnifex and 3 warriors died. Just a heavy bolter, a grenade launcher, and a crapload of lasguns. you can use the incoming, giving a +2 cover save, quite useful with those high AP weapons. I think that Sgt. I saw this today, and I was wondering if there was a way to implement a procedure into the auto append, that would check the appended post and delete it if it's 100% identical to the previous. This would be a good way to kill the (server caused?) involuntary double posts.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Might make sense, but at the same time it will be a bit more work as I'll have to rebuild the error handling to cope with it. Showing a 'post denied' message to the sort of people who do double posts would lead to a big increase in support messages otherwise.

This feature was left out originally with the intention that people would notice their double posts and go in and edit them away themselves (which the vast majority have been doing) so I'll see how it goes before committing development time to it.
