Hi guys, I'm Beastmaster(A.K.A spencer, call me whichever you like) and am new to Dakka Dakka. I recently started a space marine army, so if any1 bothers 2 read this, please give me some advice.

Devs - get them in your army, that'll be my advice

Get yourself a Terminator squad and a Land raider. Best combo since you can take the LR as a ded transport for the squad to leave room for 3 other HS choices. Welcome to dakka!

Buy the starter set. A couple of sets and you have a decent army.

Start simple and don't worry about creating that killer army that is going to dominate at a tourney. Work on your modeling/painting skills and remember it is better to get a few things completed than to have some grand idea that you blow money on and never get done.

This is my personal opinion: I'd rather lose a 500 point game with fully painted and nicely based guys than to win that 2000 point tournament with a plastic or ghost army.
