The soldiers of the Mordant 13th prepare for the next chapter of their glorious existence. Planets on the fringes of the system have been under siege of a new Ork Waaagh, rumoured to be orchestrated by the nefarious Orkimedes, the intellectual power behind Ghazghkull Thraka's infamous attacks on the planet of Armageddon. In his absence, Orkimedes has no doubt been busy designing new technological weaponry that even now redefines how the Orks wage war. Utilizing teleportation technology previously thought unattainable by the greenskins, massive Ork war parties are making planetfall without having to contend with Imperial planetary defenses. Waves of teleportation beacons housed inside asteroids fall to the planet in the guise of a mundane meteor storm, and within hours of the asteroid's landing, the "tellyportas" inside bring scores of greenskins to the planet's surface, surging forth behind enemy lines. What makes this advancement in Ork technology all the more terrifying is that there seems to be no limit to the size of what can teleported, and even the massive forms of Ork Stompas, Battlewagons, Skullhammas and other potent engines of war have suddenly materialized out of thin air, scattering whatever meager defenses the Imperial forces can muster!
The Mordant 13th now scramble to intercept the mounting Ork invasion before all is lost. It will be up to this hardened regiment and the coordinated efforts of their allies to drive this alien threat back into the foreboding darkness from whence it came!

May Chapter 1 The Menace Lands

The Ork Warboss followed Snikrot's cunning plan to make use of Orkimedes new tellyportas to drop a suprise assault from orbit on the Mordant 13th's position.
The only answer for reinforcement was the Tau Expeditionary force.
They put aside racial differences and allied to stand against the mutual enemy.
The allies held the ground against the green onslaught but the forward position was overrun in the end.

Chapter 2 Break Through June 15th

You may bring a force between 1,500 pts and 3,000 pts to the
battle. You may include any units detailed in any Codex,
Approved White Dwarf Article, Imperial Armor Book or
Datasheet, but must have a copy of the rules for each unit you
intend to field. You may choose units from multiple codices, but
allied forces may not be designated as hated enemies as per the
Allies Matrix on pg. 198 of the Apocalypse Book. You may
choose one Strategic Asset for your force, regardless of size.
A difference in points per side will be mitigated by inclusion of
additional Strategic Assets as per the standard Apocalypse rules.

Gaming League

While an enormous battle every couple of months is fantastic, playing 10,000+ point games every week can start to take it out of you. That’s why “The Lucky 13s” Gaming League only requires one 3,000 point (1-on-1) or 4,000 point (2-on-2) for Apocalypse 1,500 to 2,000 points for Standard Warhammer or a 1'000 points for Cities of Death. This gives you plenty of time to prepare not only your armies, but your strategies and smack talk, for the next game. We all know big games of 40K are fun, now you can really get stuck into a great series of Apocalypse games against a variety of opponents.

You can earn one stamp for each Gaming League game you participate in with a maximum of one stamp per month.

Apocalypse Datasheet Painting Competition

Part of the fun of playing Apocalypse-scale games of 40k is that you get the chance to field fantastic battle formations and legendary units. This activity rewards those who put a lot of effort into assembling and painting battle formations that adhere to the Datasheets found in the Apocalypse book or on the Apocalypse Datasheet web page. Bring your entry to any event for judging. There will be two categories for this painting competition.

They are:
Datasheets featuring less than 20 models or less than 10 vehicles
Datasheets featuring 20+ models or 10+ vehicles

As you are no doubt aware, many of the Datasheets can utilize varying numbers of models. The rule of thumb for this competition is that if you use a Datasheet and take less than 20 models (or less than 10 vehicles) you will enter the first category. If you use a Datasheet and use 20+ models (or 10+ vehicles) you will enter the second category.
You can earn one stamp for entering the Datasheet Painting Competition. The winner in each category in each store will earn an additional stamp.

Apocalypse Story Writing Competition

One strength of the Apocalypse format is the way the the rich background of the 40K universe can be brought to life on the table-top. Stories bring the game together, create great cinematic moments, and cause us all to look at our brave warriors as much more than plastic or metal toy soldiers. Truly great Apocalypse games are put together by fantastic story-tellers that keep the story (and the game) rolling along, building on the inter-play of action and reaction. Good story-telling can make a good game into a great one!
Each location that runs this activity will require you to write a story that sets the scene for a fantastic Apocalypse game between two or more opposing forces. You will be required to write between 750 and 1,500 words. Judging will take place at the local level with the winning stories sent on to us for national judging. You can earn one stamp for entering the Story Writing Competition. email entries to Bryan at naui36139@gmail.com or to Jon at j.mansmann@mchsi.com
