From the Dispatch 006
Our first major range - i.e. the one with the most "stuff in it" -- is called Might of Rome. Roughly covering 100 BCE to 100+ CE, Might of Rome includes Romans and their allies and enemies for the period. So far we have Republican Romans, Celts, Celt Chariots, Celt Cavalry, EIR Auxiliary Cavalry, and Numidians - with Ancient Germans, Ancient German Cavalry, and some other surprises on the way.

The second range - Wars of Empire - includes our Zulu War British and soon the Zulus to oppose them. But this is a more ambitious range that will cover roughly 1700-1900 or thereabouts and we expect (given how well they've done in the Liberty and Union League) to be adding Marlburians into that "bucket" soon along with more Colonial-era sets.

The third range - Dark Futures - was kicked off with our Zombies! set - a set that came directly out of the Liberty and Union League. The science fiction category has been incredibly hot within the L&U and we're seeing several sets moving up the ranks quickly so the Zombies will be getting some interesting company soon.

The fourth range will be kicked off soon with two sets - and it's one we plan to support wide and deep because it's a period we all really love. You could say we have to do it because "fate is inexorable" (and that's a bit of a hint).

Any guesses on the fourth range

edit: Is it possible to change the headline?
edit 2 apparently so...

Well that phrase appears a lot in the Bernard Cornwall series Warlord Chronicles so perhaps post Roman King Arthur?

This is excellent news, as I can buy a boxed set of any of these and only buy one set of GW - Kit Bash - and I have whatever army I want.

Most of their line is very nice, plastic, and AFFORDABLE.

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester

Kool stuff. I cannot wait until they get the Zulus done for the Colonial range!

off topic: What's the friggin point of this whole BCE and CE politically correct crap, if the change in eras is the same as BC to AD?

It'll be interesting if they create some special zombie miniatures like the boss zombies in Left 4 Dead.

No word about the scifi greatcoats, which were also just as popular as the zombies.

It's nothing to do with political correctness, it's because of the lack of Latin teaching in the modern curriculum.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It's a stylistic thing favoured by historians. Given who historical wargames are aimed at, well you want to fit in use historical notation. Bc and Ad don't actually hit thier intended target year anyways.

It's not political correctness. The first use of the words Common Era occured in 1615 among Christians, specifically Johannes Kepler (vulgaris aerae).

Rest assured, it's not us agnostics sneaking up on you.

This is excellent news. Wargames Factory may not produce a ton of stuff, but they've proved in the past that they have the dedication and the chops to get things done. The zombie sprue is excellent.

I'm wondering all these new sprues from Wargames Factory, the Perrys, and others mean that the fabrication of this technology is becoming more widespread and affordable?

If so, I'm all for it. It's interesting to see what various companies come out with. I'd love to see Foundry reissue some of their current packs in plastic. Maybe six to eight figures per sprue. So instead of buying a blister, you purchase a sprue. Might be good for the Norman Saxon types, Romans, and any other period where you need a sizable amount of figures.
