Will MkV arms fit on a MkIV dread ? I'm thinking of putting the forgeworld autocannon arms on both the left and right side of my FW Ultramarines Ven Dread.

would this work ?

I 'think' this is allowable in the regular rules (at work so don't have codex with me) but even if it isn't, I'm going to magnetize them so different loadouts can be swapped around.

MkV and MkIV should be interchangeable since you're basically just sticking them onto pegs. It's the way the parts look that differenciate them. I'm reasonably shure you can do whatever loadouts you want but talk with your opponent anyway to be sure there are no issues. Heck, I've got hurricane pattern bolters on one of my dreads.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I just want them because the mortis pattern dreads look cool. I wouldn't play them in that configuration I think.

The pegs may be a different size you you may need to warble out the hole or fill it in. Yes warble is a professional term hehehe.

Well..... if your going to magnetize them, then it wouldnt matter if they actually fit or not. Either way, I say go for it! ALTER THE POOH OUT THAT PUPPY!!

The pegs are the same size, and the only real difference is the shape of the upper armor plate. The plate is curved on the IV and flat on the V. The V arms dont look as good on a IV chassis in my opinion, but I can see where you are coming from.

Enjoy

The mortis autocannon pattern can now be used by any codex:SM chapter (twin autocannon, replace DCCW with another).

The other 'mortis' variants are still DA only, though.
