Ive done searches and I havnt found ANYTHING. In simplest terms, Im making my counts as thraka, super bad ass Ork boss using an Ogryn torso, a dremel and some prayers. Ive never really converted much of anything using metal, and this project is WAY out of my comfort zone.
Anywho, has anyone made a warboss from an IG Ogryn? Im almost done with the convertings but Im running into a few snags and was hoping for some "inspirations"

I remember that Adrian Wood (used to write for WD and also some White Scars army thing if Im not mistaken) based his Ork Nob for GorkaMorka on the older Ogryn model, the 2nd edition one!

I haven't seen a conversion of a ogryn into a ork warboss, but i have seen some take the dire troll from privateer press and convert it into an ork warboss. Mean looking thing also. I'll see if i can find the blog for it

ok found the blog for it

Yea the one your talking about was made by jamsessionein. That was a seriously badass warboss.
Im basing mine off of an Ogryn bonehead. So far its frigging huge. A SM comes to about his waistline. Pretty nice size so far.

LUNA how did you get the head so level with the shoulders? I tried and it looked really goofy, so my warboss head is a bit taller on the shoulders then normal. It still looks decent enough. Yours is perfectly where it should be lol

Hmm , not sure what you mean , maybe its the head itself ? Guess i just chose one that fits . ( the neck has a stump , and the ork head have a dent , so i just put it there o_o )

Needs claws.

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular."

A stump? well hmmmm. I had to completely grind the bone 'ead's head completely off (it was all one piece)
Either way thanks lol

The issue with doing that used to be the Ork heads were just too small, but now with the lager Ork Nob heads it just might pull off the look. A bit of green stuff here and there with assorted odd bits of kit and the occasional set or wire or guitar string, a PK arm sawp....and bobs yer uncle!

Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war!

I remember the battle report in White Dwarf introducing the 3rd edition featured a Warboss converted from an Ogryn.

Yeah, Adrian Wood used to run a warboss converted from an Ogryn. It was visible on his army picture in the previous codex I believe, albeight it is a bit hard to make out.

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Ogryn bodys are great for this conversion. Id like to see some conversions the other way. Ork to ogryn. My IG army is lacking the heavy infantry element so a few ogryns would be perfect.

I have always based most of my IG conversions on pics of ork conversions. The orks always go that little bit further with their costom stuff.

I was planning to give my AOBR ork warboss a ripper gun arm but i found that the arm is too tiny at least in comparison to the arm that he currently has . but a ogryn body i think would work fantastically

Yea Ive pretty much got the problems nailed down. I had to build an entire robo arm and hand, wasnt that easy at first. Its nearing the end of being completely built. When it is ill make a new thread with the unpainted and then add the painted on there.

Under the Himalaiyan mountains

There's some ogryn bosses in the Ork show off thread, after page 2 I think.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.
