R.I.P

Another fine author dies, the world is again a slightly sadder place to live

Can't say I've ever read his work, but I'm fully aware of his reputation as a a fine Fantasy Author. Many of my friends were big fans and he was always on my 'too read' list.

In the last couple of years we've lost David Gemmell, Robert Jordan and now David Eddings, 3 Giants in the world of Fantasy literature. But what legacies they have left us with!

I think I've read everything he's written, the Sparhawk stuff twice or more.

RIP to a great author.

I'm just hoping George RR doesn't kick off before finishing his Fire and Ice series!

WTF! When did Robert Jordan die? Did he finish his retardedly long epic thing???? I invested thousands of hours of my life to a freaking cliff hanger! GOD DAMMIT!!!!

And its a shame about Mr Eddings, I read most of his stuff and pretty much all of it was good. I especially liked the big books about Polgara and her father whom I can no longer recall the name of.

David Eddings, then David Carradine....hmm.. these things happen in 3s. Glad I'm not famous and named "David" right now.

He was one of my favourite authors, and I'll be sad to see him go. But he was heartbroken after his wife died apparantly, so I guess it's no surprise.
