So I played a 1750 game today with my new list: four battlewagons, two boyz mobz, and two individualized squads of nobs. This is the first time I'm running that nob unit and OMFG. They just....dont....die.

What was your build for your Nobz? Also, who were you playing against?

The build for the nobz was: big choppa, kombi-skorcha, kombi rokkit, pk and twin shoota, pk and kombi-skorcha, waagh banner, painboy, regular, twin-shoota, bosspole. The opponent was ultramarines. Two dreads in drop pods, land raider, two tac squads with rhinos, two thunderfire canons (there's the problem right?) and three very shooter landspeeder things. I was just amazed at how much damage the nobz soaked up. Cheesy or an exploit or whatever--jeeezus this list is nasty.

Diversified in terms of wargear obviously.

Nob Bikers have been pulling that trick for a while now.

Yep, they're sick.
The best way I've found with dealing with them is dropping their leadership to 7 and running them of the board. Go go Pariah + Nightmare Shroud...
Ork Nobs are one of the few units that pinning is almost an equally efficient option as trying to kill them outright.

If heavy flamers were the end-all-and-be-all against Nob bikers, then they wouldn't be troublesome at all.......but they are.

first off he isnt talking about nob bikers, he has nobs in a battlewagon. second I play Vulkan sallies and have killed my fair share of nob biker squads by hitting them with 5 heavy flamers in a single turn.
