So after much consideration I have decided to stripe all the paint off my space marines and start fresh. I am going with the not so well known chapter, the Fire Lords. Right now I am working on testing on AoBR Termies. Here are a few pics of what I have going so far.

Let me know what you think!

Currently working on putting 6 bikes, 1 attack bike, and a land speeder together.

Need to strip about 45 marines, 2 rhinos, 1 vindi, 2 drops, 2 FW dreads, 2 thunderfire cannons w/ crew, 2 land speeders.

Need to paint all the above as well as about 30 more marines, 15 scouts, a dev team, 2 whirlwinds, 1 land raider, 2 assault termi squads, command squad, multiple HQs, and many more that I can't think of right now!

I'm not familiar with the chapter but I like it! That red is so understated and dull (in a good way). I think maybe the yellow could be a little brighter though? My only possible suggestion.

The fire Lords preceed their attacks with a barrage of incendiary missiles, they were also the creator of the Redeemer Pattern Land Raider.

@ Goliath and I plan on having 2 redeemers hopefully by the time it is all said and done. Right now only have a regular land raider :(

Edit: Also can anyone recommend a good company that makes a bright yellow. Try as I might I can't get the bright yellow from GW to work well. Right now on my guys it is just the yellow foundation paint and then 2 thin layers of golden yellow and then I wanted to see what the sepia wash would look like on the yellow.

They look pretty good. The somewhat muted shades are less jarring than others with the same palette, like the Howling Griffons.

Not that huge of an update just a little bit of what I've been working on. So I took Grunt's advice and seeked a new brighter yellow. I settled on Deep Yellow from the Vallejo line. Also some conversion work on my AoBR termies arms. I used the assault cannon from my land speeder sprue and gave it to a termie.

I know the yellow could use a little more touching up, on the shield mostly. Though I'm thinking of redoing the shield and putting their chapter symbol on it instead

And my assault cannon

I can see where this is going and I like it. That yellow really contrasts the red very well. After some washing and highlighting that's going to go very well with the red. And I can't wait for the assault cannon to be finished, that looks like a perfect fit.
