After much deliberation, I have thought up a brilliant list. Replies with any improvements much appreciated. The list is below (not sure on points, have lost my codex)

Captain on bike, plasma pistol and power sword-165 pts
Command Squad, all on bikes, with standard and company champion. 2 melta guns also-255pts

4x5men bike squads, all with 2 melta guns and both sergeants having plasma pistols and melta bombs-6800pts

2x3attack bike squads- all bikes with MMs-300pts

2 land speeders-100pts

Total=1500pts

Anyone got any suggestions?

drop the plasma pistols everywhere. Give the captain a relic blade.

I'd give the command squad some cc upgrades, a thunder hammer/powerfist or lightning claw or 2.

Maybe give the bike sgt's some power fists as well since they are going to be doing most of the fighting.

What are the point of the heavy bolter speeders? Attack bikes are probably better since you get the twin linked bolters as extra dakka. Or even better make them MM/HF speeders.

The whole point of the army was to make it really anti-tank, but with a little bit of anti-troop. I was also limited by the points cost, as I'm trying to keep it under 1500pts. Will think about removing the PPs though, and putting in some PFs

you have melta's. Plasma pistols dont really add to anti-tank

HQ:
Space Marine Captain
Bike, Relic Blade

Command Squad w/ Bikes
- Company Champion (Power Sword, Combat Shield)
- Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield
- Lightning Claw, Storm Shield
- Lightning Claw
- Apothecary

Troops:
8x Bikes, 1x Attack Bike
Power Fist, 2x Meltas, 1x Multimelta

8x Bikes, 1x Attack Bike
Power Fist, 2x Meltas, 1x Multimelta

8x Bikes, 1x Attack Bike
Power Sword, Meltabombs, 2x Flamers, 1x Heavy Bolter

Fast Attack:
3x Attack Bikes w/ Heavy Bolters

I did really well with this list. You can Combat Squad, if needed, or run big 10-man units. It balances anti-tank and anti-horde as best as possible, while keeping that nasty Command Squad of Doom to handle any tough targets.

Just a random thought:
If you wanted to, couldn't you add in the attack bikes into the regular bike squads? That would add a bit of strength to your scoring units. Of course, it does take a bit of your tactical flexibility away, but it is something to think about. It's late though, so I am sure I am not thinking it through very well.

Quick question about that proposed army, how many points would it be in total, as I'm trying to keep it low for a 1500 pts game with friends soon. Thanks though, it looks really cool.

Thanks for the list. It looks brilliant. Problem is though, that bikes are so expensive nowadays. Anyone got any good ideas on how to get bikes cheap?

ebay, end of the day an all bike army will cost an arm and leg no matter where you find the models

probaly £150+, at the moment on ebay they have 5 bikers for about a fiver

MC seriously dont try this list. It will crash and burn. I know what your playstyle is like and would seriously advise not playing this list. It takes a lot of skill and daring to play bike armys well and no offense intended you arn't exactly the most daring of players.

Yani, I can try whatever lists I like, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. The only reason you don't like this list is that you'll have to change your army to combat my army!

the ravenwing battleforce i believe is the best way to do a biker army

Get two Ravenwing battleforces to start, and use the landspeeders with a HF and MM on each. It is a great core to your planned army.

Where can I get the HF for the Speeders. Thanks for the advice, it will come in very handy, and yeah, he will be scared when I kick his ing lol

Anyway as I have said it is the wrong army for you. It relies on maneuverability to win and against DE you will probally find yourself out maneuvered.

Best deal out there too. For $90 you get about $175 worth of models.

To make the list I posted, you need this:
1 SM Captain
1 Command Squad
6 Ravenwing Boxes
Bitz for Spec. Weapons

That gives you about everything in the cheapest way possible, give or take. At least, that is how I was going to build it. In testing, I just didn't care for the army overall, though, but that is just my tastes.

By Ravenwing boxes, I assume you mean the battleforce set? Also, where would I get the spec weapons? GW Direct? Ebay?

Yes the Battleforce set - Contains 1 Speeder 6 Bikes and Attack bike + Ravenwing upgrade parts
All you need to do is find the Meltas, HFs and the Power Weapons, talk to your local SM players they should have a fair bit in their bits boxes that you could probably buy or trade for

BitzBox is a great site for that sort of stuff. Also, you don't need to use the Ravenwing stuff, either.

So those 6 Ravenwing boxes will set me back £300. Hmm. Tempting, so long as I get good GCSEs, as my parents have sadi that'll I'll get money for grades.
