So, after a hiatus of a few years, all the lonely little figs in my closet kept lookin at me with their unpainted eyes and guilt tripped me into breaking out the brushes.

It looks like little has changed, GW is still raising prices, people still complain but have the shiny new models in thier armies.

So, I'll probly see you guys around the modelling forums, and be posting some 5th ed catch up questions in the rules forums. Once I get the 5th ed differences straightened out, I'll poke into the tactics forums when time permits.

And, in case any of you see pics of my work and think it looks familiar, it may be, I used to be pretty active on here under my old S/N. Even moderated for a while ^_^

Welcome to dakka. Indeed, little has changed except there are a few more alternative manufacturers (different games and different parts for GW products), but at least the paints, terrain and models have definitely improved over the years.

Next question- do you paint better before or after the corona? And do you paint well to begin with :p

I paint better during the Corona Extra... no lime, even...

My painting is okay... at least half of the paint hits the mini... actually, is it okay I just have the beer... I'll even let you use some sort of restraining apparatus but I don't really know about relying on my painting skills.

I just got a camera as a 10 year anniversary present from work and will be using that to take some pics of my minis.

@djphranq, last time I had someone tell me they painted 'ok'....

The figs looked like they had the paint applied by squirting it from the butt of small animals in the general direction of the figs.

But, if ya cant paint any better than that, maybe I'll just have to turn into a 40k black widow...find community property states....get half the armies in the divorce!!

I only use the best rodents for my painting. I make sure to feed them acrylics and shake them vigorously. For larger projects I use larger animals... you should see it when I have to paint horde armies...

gimps are over rated and pretty boring But if I found one that painted at Golden Demon levels I might reconsider ^_^

surely thats the only reason to have one-tell him he's been bad and you wont be pleased until he can paint an enitre broodhord in an evening!

With an air brush, good dry brush, and some dippin skills a brood horde is doable in a night

I even got 8/10 on the paint for those guys...

it had 'continue' but I crossed it out with fabric paint and wrote CEASE is big red letters.....
