So I am finally getting around to painting my Troop choices for my Nurgle renegade IG army. I figured I would paint them just like I painted my plague marines, and hope for the best.
Well, it looks good on plague marines, but on IG, it looks more like camouflage than something rotting and diseased.

Heres what I did, let me know if you have a better way of making them look like thier rotting...
1. Base coat black primer
2. Dry brush of Catachan Green
3. 50/50 dry brush of Catachan Green and Camo Green
4. Dry brush of Camo Green
5. Dry brush of Rotting Flesh
6. Devlan Mud Wash
7. Rotting flesh highlights

Any other ideas?

on my Nurgle CSM's I used black primer then a heavy drybrush of Gretchin Green foundation (in the armor plate areas), followed by a liberal wash of Devlan Mud, and then rehighlighted specific areas with Gretchin Green. I am thinking of adding one more round of highlights with a mix of camo green/rotting flesh.

For the shoulder and boot trim I used Boltgun metal, then a wash of Devlan Mud, and went back to highlight the rivets/bolts with Boltgun metal.

This one is pretty similar to my standard troop scheme. I use flesh wash instead of devlan mud.
On my Converted demon prince that you can see in my thread, I used:

Skin:
1. Black primer
2. Overcoat of rotting flesh
3. 2 layers of Gryphonne Sepia + baal red, green and devlan mud wash on different places to get a variation in skin tone
4. Rotting flesh dry brush
5. Bleched bone highlight
6. Skull white light highlight.

Blisters:
Camo green
rotting flesh drybrush
gore red details "veins in the blisters"
flesh wash
baal red wash around the blisters
