I mostly run a 'Nidzilla shooty list with 2 HT w/VC & TL devourer, 3 Elite 'Fex w/BS, 3 Hvy Sniperfex and fill out my troop choices with 4x8 Genestealers with scuttlers.

The problem I keep running into the most is lack of mobility for objectives missions. Anyone had better luck with Hormogaunts or should I just stick with outflanking 'stealers?

I prefer a small number of Without Number Gaunts (either Termagaunts or Spinegaunts) to hold objectives near my side of the board edge to hormagaunts. Genestealers, while having the advantage of not needing synapse, are vulnerable to shooting and cannot hold objectives to concentrated fire for very long. I use gaunts for the near objectives and remaining Genestealers for the far ones, along with the MC's to keep objectives contested.

Hormagants are simply a waste of points in 5e.

64 points = 8 spinegaunts w/o#

If you go second, they WILL hold/contest an objective on your side as needed.

It is basically a no brainer for any Tyranid list as far as I know.
