Here are a few shots of the model that I am currently working on. I really love the models that came out in the late '90s and this Gorkamorka ork is full of character. The head is almost done, just another highlight on the teeth and some pupils.

I'm not entirely sold on the shovel but I want it to look used rather than be very shiny and silver. Maybe a darker brown? What do you think?

Put some scuff marks and rust on the shovel and it will look good.Otherwise a very nice job thus far.

Really cool! Nice paintjob. A wee bit too clean (not dusty enough) if you're going for "used" but really nice none-the-less. Actually if you highlight around the point of the spade as if he's been digging, with streaks of metal it will look very used. Maybe spot the rusty bits with a darker brown as well to show concentrated rust. Just my thoughts.

Looking really good man. The eyes the way they are right now looks really cool. Kind of that old blind seer look. Nice paint job

Thanks for the encouraging comments and advice.

I really like this little grot and thik he would be a perfect complement to Nazdreg. I was thinking of putting both models on a scenic base. Does anyone know where I can purchase this model from without buying a whole set from GW?

I love it so far.

For the shovel try some metallic on the edge... maybe a rub some graphite on the edge w/ a soft pencil.

I highly recommend dusting w/ some pigments. That will really help give the feel of being out in the dirt.

I have done some more work on the shovel including scrapes painted on in boltgun metal. I am currently experimenting with mig pigments but I'm not entirely happy with the results yet.
