There are several Dakka users from Brisbane - dunno how many are active, but from the Sunshine Coast you might want to try Caboolture, I think they have a wargaming club.

I'm a few hours further south. I collect what is in my sig plus some other stuff. I'm not up for a game.

I live in a small town on the far north coast, and have only just discovered the nearest Wargaming centre a week back , to my dismay :(. im moving to shepparton in VIC in 2 weeks lol.

i have a Chaos Army WIP and im intrested in making a necromunda Redemptionist army.

North Brisbane? That's close! But unfortunately I collect only 40k. However there are plenty at the club here in Noosa that collect fantasy.

I think the armies were 2 Wood Elves, 1 Empire, 1 Bretonnia, 2 Vampire Counts, 1 Lizardmen as well as 1 (chaos?) dwarves.

If anyone is ever up in Noosa, or anywhere on the Sunshine Coast. Then come to the Noosa Library. We always meet there in the meeting room (pun) or outside every Saturday. It's about 10:30 that everyone gets there and we leave at 3:00.

Basically, I think canberra was made the capital to confuse any invading country, and distract them from the important cities. Namely Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Canberra got the job because Melbourne didn't want Sydney, and Sydney didn't want melbourne as the national capital any longer (Melb was the national capital for a while - hence the National Gallery of Victoria and similar stuff).
