The first pic contains command like figures( They are called Hassassin Muyibs). For the army/faction of Haqqislam. They are equiped with what it says are Rifle and shotgun and something called a spit fire. One is a women with long flowing pink hair armed with a shotgun(I think)the other is male and armed with a rifle.
The second pic contains much the same,a women with blue hair. And a humaniod alien with green skin. Both are equiped with combi rifles. They are calld Moderators From Bakunin. From the faction Nomads.
The third pic contains a man from the 9th Wulver Grenadiers,he has wolf-like features and is snarling. He is drawing a blade from his back but it says he is only equiped with grenades T2 rifle which sort of looks like a super ak-47.He is from the faction of Ariadna.
The last pic is of a ninja looking warrior, his class or type or unit is listed as Oniwaban. He is dressed in black with
greensih arms that I asume are part of the suit(these look like muscles and are a glowing green). He looks like he is weilding a blade and is said to be equiped with a
Monofilament CCW.He is from the faction of Yu Jing.

More groovy stuff, but bummer that the Nomads one is less than awesome this time
Me and a friend have been talking about picking up a non- GW game for real, and he's thinking AEWW2 while I'm giving Infinity a second look. Nice thing about waiting to get in has meant the breadth of minis has expanded (and I think the rules have been revised, right?)

Not that I am complaining, but why isn't the Moderator chick wearing a bra? I would think that in a combat sort of situation, one would want some support, and it is something of a fashion faux pas.
It also seems that the weapons are a tad bulky. Not in the GW "My sword weighs 3 times more than me!" sort of way, but more in the "Our models are actually nicely scaled" sort of way. Even if made out of a hightech plastic, that is a REALLY bulky weapon. I gotta wonder what is going on with it to necessitate that much space.

they are not painted when you buy them. they are a little smaller and the pewter is very soft. i love the wulver , going to get me one and fit it into the imperial. they have some nice sniper models but look tiny.....they also run more per mini then GW.

what happened to the original 45th highland infantry guys? they now have a 4 man boxed set but they used to sell a two guy blister pack containing one guy with a gun and another swinging a sword. have they started retiring certain models? the one i'm talking about aren't in their online store nor in their gallery.
p.s. i never thought i'd see a company that would make gw look affordable but they sure do. their stuff is priced as high as forgeworld!

Well, there is the whole "skirmish level" aspect to the game, which keeps the model count (potentially) low.
They have to make it up somewhere, I guess!

warboss can you make a army for 40k or fantasy for ~45 euros?
Alpharius is right, you cannot dodge the fact that these are really just a few models per faction in a skirmish type of game.

True, but that doesn't change the fact that price-per-model is the only fair and balanced yardstick when it comes to cost, given how wildly model counts vary between games.

Can you make an army for Infinity for 45 Euros?
I looked into it and thought I would need to spend about 150 Euros to get 12+ figures including a couple of the big ones.
To be fair, I think you can play a decent game with 6-10 figures a side.

Starter sets are a good way to start then a couple blisters... really depends on your force.
Agamemnon2 fair enough...But then you can say design and detail wise these really deliver.

lol, i could make up a game today which requires you to only field one fig per "army". that doesn't mean people would call it affordable if i charge $40 for that 25mm scale fig. i'm comparing the price per similar scale fig to those of GW (considered by many to be pricey for what you get). ultimately, it's your love of the game rules or the sculpt that determine whether the price is worth it or not to YOU. i'm willing to take the plunge to buy the scots because i like the sculpts; that doesn't mean i like the price. i also enjoy drinking carbonated beverages; that doesn't mean i won't do a double take when i'm asked to pay $4 for a 12oz one at a concert/sports game/amusement park.
anyways... does anyone know what happened to the original 45th highland infantry figs?

Sure your mileage may vary depending on lots of personal choices... but you were the one comparing corvus belli to GW, and that specific comparison does need to contemplate the big diference in the games they provide... but if its just for display painting then yes they are about 7.5 euros per human sized mini, kind of expensive I guess... but I have seen a lot worse if you ask me.

How much does the 'average' metal figure from GW cost?
Wouldn't that be a good yardstick to use too?

Well, GW uses mostly plastic, which are around $4/fig.
Metal Sisters of Battle are $5/model. Tzeentch Horrors are $6/fig. Necron Immortals are $16/fig.
There is quite a range. The Corvus Belli figs are a little priceier on average than GW figs - but they're also (IMHO) a lot more dynamically posed and more interesting to paint. It really comes down to your perception of value. There's nothing stopping you from just assembling up a box of Catachans and using them with the Infinity rules. Personally, I'd love to play Infinity and get the models since the rules appear to be excellent, but no one around here plays so it would just be a waste of my time.
